Honestly, this is the best virtual desktop app I can find. You customize your computer's resolution to an obscene wide screen and you can play almost any flat screen racing game that has first person with a full cockpit view. I've played so many hours of Forza Horizon 5 and WreckFest in VR and it makes it a whole new perspective. Thanks to this app. I've only tried the crew 1 with this (maybe 2 years ago) and the capture performance was poor, I don't know if The Crew motorfest will work any better.

One thing about this is there is a mode that allows you to lock the head to the screen, If you have Arma 3 and use Opentrack with the Oculus rift, perfect head tracking for first person. Not the most well performing game but still its a function you can use it for.

For it being so lightweight, This is one tool I will not regret getting and using for almost a lot of my racing games that don't give proper VR support. Just know, have a little bit of vram available to you, maxing out the VRAM from the game loaded (talking forza horizon 5) I noticed the performance dip dramatically.

This game prioritizes something much more than other games do. A functioning game with game mechanics that work vs looks. Roblox look on the outside, much more than battlefield on the inside.

Best smoothest running game that has the best smoothest like parcore system for a military game. No its not mirrors edge level parcore but feels smoother than battlefield when completely at lowest weight on your character.

Some maps definatly need a redo, but honestly its impressive with the amount of building destruction and the amount of buildings that can fall. Some of these maps can just be completely leveled which his honestly amazing. Levelution like events with the nuclear silo and some other buildings. Mainly the nuclear silo to note for now.

But yea. 10/10 recommend to anyone with a toaster computer to the worlds greatest quatum computer that runs games at 10000 FPS. u will not regret your purchase despite the mono like color graphics without any variation.

I know it says recommended and I do recommend the game 100% but one middle finger to the gamer side. no Virtual machine support for people who want to game in a VM. I was hoping to to play from my proxmox rig for game streaming with my Tesla. The only way to play on an NVIDIA Tesla P100 reliably is in a VM on Proxmox in my experience. I get it for cheat prevention but COME ON, HOW ELSE IS THE 7% of PEOPLE WITH REPURPOSED DATACENTER GPUS IN OUR HOME LABS SUPPOSED TO PLAY THIS?

Over all game play 100% will recommend to anyone, just know its alpha and it has bugs (game bugs not the bug enemies). Everything here is solid and will recommend it to anyone looking for a PVE defense game. Starship troopers universe is defiantly interesting on the battlefield with the bugs.

Just the VM blocking is the only thing I will gripe on. I will give props for the devs to bring us a well grounded project at the state at it is at launch with minimal issues.

I love this game! The fact it can do just about as much as battlefield can in vr at the performance it has is impressive. The fact modding is possible is also amazing, keeps the content fresh when checking out new things.

I know it won’t win awards on graphics, but you don’t need AAA graphics to have an amazing game.

I know people will complain about the bots in the empty player spots but I found they actually improved over the years, their skill may not be expert but still can be a challenge at times no doubt.

Xp grinding in the past was painful but has been adjusted to a much more enjoyable level. Still will grind a bit bit you won’t have to play over 10000 hours for a specic gun or attachment.

If your looking for an optimized vr game that plays like battlefield, defiantly won’t regret picking this up.

Honestly, love this game. Physics are great (takes time to understand how to fly in low orbit.) but the devs have put their time into the game and it shows. little by little the game is coming more and more together. asking price ATM is a bit high but Will make sense later on from how I see the progression going. Despite lack of player base, the game nights with the devs and community, battles can get going very fierce like and enjoyable.

Each ship has its pros and cons. strengths and weaknesses. just how it is. sometimes it's coordinated strategy with teammates to take stuff down is how it needs to be done.

Recommend this game to anyone who would like to play a space game with sorta elite dangerous style fighting but don't have to worry about progression. each match will start equal and progress as the match goes on. Though almost the entire battle is AI ships, they are pretty well matched, I feel its a random skill level per AI or its just me, Just know it will be a challenge at times.

In terms of performance, a single core Celeron CPU will not play this game, but overall, 4th gen Intel CPUs will run this decent and you might have to tweak more settings on older GPUs. If you are running this game on an Nvidia Tesla P100 Datacenter card. Runs good!

I definitely will recommend this game to anyone that is looking for a very well optimized open world racing experience game. As much as I of played this till now, this game handles and feels great with a wheel or controller. but the PS4/5 compatible Wheels on the PC will still have the weird numbered buttons issue as this game is a Xbox title.

This game runs so much smoother and can have better graphical fidelity when I set this in a custom res at 6000x1440 and full FOV to simulate a cockpit in VR with the Virtual Desktop app on steam (Though limited to the front of the car with both mirrors). Capture rate is good enough since the CPU and GPU are able to utilize and run this game.

The campaign I feel will never be as good as the first Horizon game back on the 360 but this still has a better campagin than the other games. The side quests like the ones in Horizon 4 with the wacky top gear stuff was great. I still yet to complete the campaign but is defiantly better than before.

Pros:

Driving is fantastic or a bit better this time around.

Medium Ray Tracing on a normal RTX 2070 is able to perform very well. Setting more other settings to ultra will defiantly slow the frame rate but will recommend Setting between High and Medium with world geometry set to medium.

Cons:

PLEASE PUT IN PROPER CONTROLLER ICONS FOR THE PS4/5 Logitech WHEELS!

Idk if it is a con, but every GPU I look at in task manager reports back 0-10% 3D GPU usage but VRAM reports back correctly. Still runs like a dream regardless.


I think this game is worth it. Probably not much to go off of this game of a review but VR driving is what I will be focusing on more on this game cause it is actually possible in a makeshift fashion.

This is the one game I love to play. VR in this game and modding in Ace Combat 7 OST filled the gap that NAMCO cannot fill since VR support was never brought to PC. This game is worth every penny and has amazing gameplay that is just as good or better (depends on your perspective).

You will not regret buying this game and I can guarantee it if u are a ace combat fan.

This game is something more than it looks and has exceeded my expectations. BUT BUT WAIT IT IS STILL IN EARLY ACCESS.

This game has been one of the most immersive paranormal games I've played where you actually have to interact with the ghost rather than run away like most games. The horror is there for sure, just don't stand in the corners without a monitor cause I seem to have a lot of run ins that way. You think you would be running fast in this game but this isn't the case this time sadly. but I find it is quite balanced at times, it make things quicker but then again, it makes the experience more terrorising when u are being chased.

VR/PC: this game has some interesting crossplay from these two realms but the thing i notice, i guess your flashlight works on pc but when you switch items it turns off rather like in vr and it sticks to a floating belt. not bad but still weird but also balanced. just weird that you can hold 4 items (2 belt and two hands) in vr but only 3 in PC. I also see some lobbies reaching 100 people which is just amazing that that could even happen probably by registry edit the limits of your room.

The one big bug I find is that the game keeps switching my microphone default every time a game ends which is very very annoying. and sometimes you may have to restart your game to get the in game VOIP to work both ways. Also rare occurences to when u get to the truck and nothing loads maybe one out of 30 times this happens each play session but still not a problem I consider game breaking but is annoying. the Item pop in in the distance in the schools are quite annoying and weird when the hall loads in after seeing a white wall in the distance until you get closer. also some objects look like their floating unless u get closer. again not game breaking but annoying.

At the time of this review it is almost a month in of it's release in steam as early access, but I hope that this game\project goes further than ever. I highly recommend that any paranormal enhusiest give this a try but don't be so sure that the ghost will be forgiving when the counter goes to 0 in the truck.
