Game offers an intriguing roster of heroes, ranging from fan favorites to lesser-known characters, all pretty faithful to their comic/movie counterparts - same with skins which even list what media they first appeared in.

From a mechanics standpoint, "Team Up" is a standout feature, allowing for creative and strategic team compositions. For example, (S0) Hulk and Iron Man are not great characters on their, but teamed up, it gives Iron Man a gamma laser which is very good. (Meta at Diamond+)

The art style and character design are surprisingly polished. Actually feels like you are playing in a comic.

Only gripe is optimization. Despite being built in UE5, it performs more like a Unity game. Consistently high frame rates (240+) are essential for comp games like this. I can only manage about 120-150FPS on a 7950x3d + 3080 system when in other competing titles I would be getting 200+

Campaign - Alright

Multiplayer - Good

SpecOps - Forgettable

DMZ - Could use some work

Warzone 2 - 2 steps forwards, 2 steps back. Still at its core good.

(Old review) - would not recommend buying "old" cod games in general

Campaign: Not the best, not the worst. Sorta like a mix between black ops 3 and cold war's campaign in terms of narrative and mission design. Actually does "open world" campaign missions right. 6/10

Multiplayer: Overall experience is solid. Hit reg, spawns, and map pool need work. Map pool will likely improve over time. Spawns and hit reg likely not, but tbh cod always had issues with this (It's not better or worse than any previous iterations). SBMM / EOMM is still a thing and probably something you have to accept existing if you plan on buying. 1.5 is the new 3. 7/10

Zombies: Feels like cold war part 2. Two proper solid maps on launch. Liberty Balls which is the smaller "bonus" map and Terminus which is the full scale zombies experience. HUD options (so you can play like its classic). Gameplay feels solid and definitely a stepup in difficulty compared to cold war (round 50 is now hard again). 8/10

Combat is a huge upgrade from the original
