I did three playthroughs of this game because the first run I had promised so much, but ultimately, I got very little for the runs I did. Now I know this is a positive review, but the things I have to say are pretty negative.

First of all, the game is dialogue based and promises plenty of replayability through different choices. My three playthroughs went like this, first was complete blind run, second was aiming for best possible ending and my third was let the world burn. Aside from most changes being just few throwaway lines here and there, there really wasn't as much variation between the endings as I had hoped. For some reason my character will still get mad at Abramar in the end, who is the best character in the game, even though she condemned everyone to death and willingly sacrificed her coven. It doesn't make sense.

Secondly, since there is so much dialogue that repeats throughout the playthroughs, I cannot grasp why essentials like "skip all seen dialogue" button is missing. It should be basically a staple for games like this, but no I had to spam click my way through the same cutscenes I had already seen three times. This is especially jarring with scenes where there will be absolutely no changes. Also having no NG+, when the idea of the game is to collect cards and create your favorites. What's the point of making good card art when I will just lose those cards soon enough?

Thirdly, the game switches up from fortune reading to a political minigame halfway through. While there still are some fortune readings done, most of them only concern the politics and don't actually have much to do with the characters themselves. This part also takes a huge amount of time with basically no variations and you always end up just having to sleep like 10 times even when your victory is assured just to get to the next scene. I wanted to read fortunes and affect the future, I didn't want to campaign for witch rights.

Now those are my main three criticisms of the game. However, it should be apparent that I did get invested enough to do three playthroughs and spend my time interacting with the game. I did like most of the characters and the illusion of choice did linger in my mind for a long time. All of my complaints are just things the devs could have done better to really elevate the experience. That is why I will have this review as a positive instead of a negative one.

A fantastic indie game for a very small price. The game may be ugly as hell, but the atmosphere is one of the best I have seen in gaming. The music combined with the forests creates an immersion like I have never seen before. Too bad about the VERY janky combat, I can not call it good by any stretch of imagination, but I can say that it does the job just fine. If you like videogames, then you must try this.

Do note that you will not want to see a single spider again after playing this.

A wonderful little mystery adventure game about a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up company in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up world. The mystery and the characters keep you engaged. Has some horror elements but no big spooks. Highly recommend.

Domori did nothing wrong.

Fight Knight is a quirky little game about a knight who fights. With his fists. If you can imagine Godhand mixed with old dungeon crawling then you can imagine Fight Knight. For the price I feel like I got my moneys worth, especially if I feel like completing the NG+ mode. My only major complaint would be that at some point during a floor the fights themselves start to feel unnecessary but thankfully that can be solved using potions. Also the last boss and whole end sequence rocks. Recommended.

Reading through the reviews, I seem to have played a very different game compared to the other reviewers. Still There is a great and short puzzle game that tackles on issues so many other games also like to tackle, like grief and depression.

Now pretty much everyone seems to say that the puzzles in this game are overly complex or too hard, but if you enjoy old point'n'click games, then this one is a must. Every single puzzle is easily solvable as long as you consult the manual and put in some elbow grease. And unlike old point'n'click games there's no loony logic here where you apply cat to the mat and get electricity, in fact every single solution make perfect sense in the context. The puzzles get 5/5 from me.

Now for the story, the emotions and impact are there, but like I said, I've seen all of that so many times already. Karl is a great character, but I didn't really get invested in his life story. All the other characters were much more interesting, but they're only made interesting through Karls interactions with them so point for him from that too. If you're a fan of emotional stories and haven't consumed them by the truckloads, then the story will be great. Otherwise, its a passable one.

High recommendations for all point'n'click fans.

I was having fun with building machines and seeing them work, but then I got stopped to play Solitaire for hours. I could feel like the main character who stopped working just to play a kids game for hours to an end. 10/10.
