I went into this game fully expecting it to be a big joke. I did not expect to get a pretty interesting and fun game that doesn't take itself very seriously. The puzzles are all pretty simple, but the creator did actually put quite a bit of effort into making them fun.

Though this game had one of the roughest launches I've seen to date, once I shoveled past all the technical gunk and development drama, I found that this is indeed a good game at heart. The gameplay is solid when it works, the visuals are stunning to a degree that I never thought possible in a video game, and the story is truly one that speaks to the human in us all. If you can run the game (and that is a *big* if), I highly suggest trying it out and finding out what Night City can offer you.

Edit: It's been a hot minute since I made this review so I thought I should update it a little. This game'll still make your PC wheeze; but after all the patches and new content, I can assuredly say that this game is a safe bet for anyone who wants that Cyberpunk itch scratched. Also go watch the Netflix show. Though, considering you want to buy this game, you probably already have.

Perfect Gold is an outstanding story about love and what it means to chase after a future you want.

The writing had me rooting for the characters all throughout [whether it be by breaking my heart or making me chuckle]. Marion and Audrey really do have chemistry that I would really like to see in more romance stories. The art was gorgeous, the backgrounds are fantastic, and to top it all off the voice cast did a tremendous job making me fall in love with these characters [props to the actors for the main couple especially].

If you want a sweet, romantic story to tug at your heartstrings, I'd have trouble finding anything better to recommend!

Cute animals and a soft aesthetic. What more could you ask for?

I've played this game since near-launch; and I have to say that with each update, this game just gets better and better. If you still have qualms about trying this game out, know that it has awesome gunplay, slick movement, and a wonderfully varied cast of characters. Definitely worth checking out.

I was a huge fan of the first game so expectations were pretty high for its highly anticipated sequel. And what I can say is that it has delivered on said expectations and then some. It's a great game!~

It's a pretty good game that'll last you a solid 20 hours if you want to unlock all the land.

It has a very simple premise: forage for resources, then use those resources to make things that will help you get more. The beauty in this, however, is in all the tools, skills, and structures you can use to make things go faster. It's really great how not only is each piece of your arsenal powerful on its own, but once the pieces start stacking up, the synergies between them can make for a wonderful result.

For the price it's at, I'd say you should definitely try it out (or wait for a sale, your call)!

This review will sound a bit generic, but I really don't want to spoil anything about the game. So, I've decided to just list down a few things I liked and disliked about this game.

Likes:
-Good Writing (And voice acting, imo)
-Interesting characters that I developed a connection with.
-A plot that has quite a few twists that make the game *extra spicy*
-A really satisfying combat system that you can customize fairly extensively thanks to the chip system.
-Boss battles that I'll have a hard time forgetting (looking at you, Grün).
-Accessibility (through Easy Mode) for those who only want the story, but higher difficulties for those who want a challenge. Inclusiveness is cool.
-An amazing soundtrack that I still can't get out of my head.
-An amazing set of vistas and locales to go through. I loved exploring each one.
-Become as Logs

Dislikes:
-The fact that it's a bit glitchy and framey at times. Nothing game breaking usually, but it does get annoying with the 15 billion bullets on your screen.
-The fact that some of the builds are *a little* broken, so the combat can get stale if you min-max the crap out of your build.
-*Some* of the sidequests. Some of the sidequests felt like chores to do, though, they did add to the world building a little bit.
-The backtracking. I know that backtracking can't be avoided when making an open world game, but going through the same motions to go through an area kinda gets stale even if it was fun and interesting the first time through. I kinda wish they spiced it up a little bit more.
-The main/hub area. The City is really pretty when you first see it, but once you've gone through it 15 or so times, it gets really hard to look at with all the dirty browns and greys. It serves its purpose as an in-between area, but it got really tiring near the middle.
-A bad representation for mackerel

I really do like this game, and I don't think anything I say here can really do it justice. So I hope you'll go and experience it for yourself, because this game had quite the impact on me, and I hope it will on you as well. :)
