Edit (2/20/2024): I love this game. It is not perfect and needs lots of work to make it like it used to be, but this is one of the only games I can consistently sit down and play for hours. Valve if you want another 10 years from your cash cow you WILL listen to the community. Or else.

Edit (4/13/2024): This game's state is only getting worse. Rampant and widespread cheating have caused the community to turn on each other. Any legit player with even an ounce of skill is accused of cheating on the spot because of this unaddressed plague. Others decide to cheat because, "everyone else is, so why not me?". From the player's perspective, it feels like I am being hoodwinked by this shiny new game because of developers who do not fix the issue. I don't care if a team at valve is working their asses off to fix VAC because they aren't doing anything to let us, the community, know. They will not address or even own up to this problem. We are the lifeblood of this iconic game, and slowly we are being stabbed and sliced into nothingness, left to bleed out at the base of Valve's mountain of money. I will never stop loving this game. But I won't play it if I can't spend my time worry free. I truly hope something fixes this game because it sure as hell won't happen under the current state of Valve. Do something for our sake! Anything!
