After the Sony has backpedalled the PSN requirement...
They've decide to revert the change, and they've restricted purchase within my country, due to not being able to make an PSN account in my country.

This puts me in despair, where it took me 3 months to realise that Sony has managed to make the game completely unplayable for people (like me) and people who live in within 177 countries where PSN is not available.

In all of my reviews, where I avoid insulting people, developers and/or publishers, I've made an exception for this review, and to the publisher, I will state: "♥♥♥♥ you, Sony."

In other words, HELLDIVERS™ 2 is an incredibly great game to play with friends, and before the PSN requirement was made mandatory. Shooting bugs, spreading democracy, liberty and freedom... until Sony has taken that opportunity away from me.

I will be permanently signing off from playing HELLDIVERS, after what Sony has done. This is the worst thing that the publisher is able to do. Block off people from enjoying the game before this occurred with the PSN requirement. Only to backpedal the idea, then restrict 177 countries (Latvia included) to not being able to purchase the game for those aren't able to create an PSN account.

I'm off and stating again: "♥♥♥♥ you, Sony."

Barotrauma!
After being kicked out from Space Rig 17 for drinking too much (I told management that was a bad idea…)
Being jobless was not fun, so I relocated myself to another high-pressure job.
Right around Jupiter’s moon- Europa!

What’s Barotrauma?

In short: Barotrauma is a 2D co-op submarine simulator... quite a horrific one. Fixing leaks, operating machinery, crafting items, staying alert, Barotrauma has it all. If you can handle it.

Descriptively: It’s a horrifying 2D cooperative submarine game, where you (and X amount of misfits) take control of a submarine to drive yourselves into an endless journey…

…while trying to maintain your electronics, machinery, engine, guns, hulls, clear of any hostile entities.

If you are playing multiplayer, you can bring as many people as possible, with certain jobs/roles as:
* Medic – Opium and morphine hoarders with bandages and poison. Also, can make drugs that can revive you. Occasionally.
* Engineer – Submarine Reactor’s daddy. Side job: electrician and being a furry. Don’t let them sleep on wires.
* Mechanic – Jack of smithing, master at craftsmanship. Makes the engine and fabricator go brrrrr.
* Security Officer – Ensures safety of people and hoards his guns in the cabinet, while also avoid getting himself mauled, or backstabbed by his crew members.
* Captain – A hard-ass captain is an indispensable captain. Otherwise, can be replaced, if the captain is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ enough. Tells the submissive submarine where to go and where to hold position.
* Assistants – Disposable. Sometimes, but not always.
Each and every role has a certain mastery on skills, all of those can be maxed for every job, but we’ll get to that later.
Do keep in mind that maintenance of a submarine and awareness is all-time required. Always check on fuel rods, welding fuels, oxygen tanks, ammo, drugs and crew members. If you run out of these, it's over.

What do I do in my submarine?
Okay, Captain. I’ll go over what certain jobs do, vaguely, but enough to give you slight idea what each job does.

Captain
The big brother of the submarine. The captain takes hold of helm (steering the submarine) and commanding its crew.
There can be one captain and only one captain.
They can delegate tasks to a certain crew member and also adjust everyone’s salary. Or hoard the salary to themselves, if they feel greedy enough.

Engineer
Electrician. You need your Typhoon II submarine to have a functional bottom airlock? The engineer can make it happen. Power grid starts to fail? Call out the engie.
The engineer’s responsibility is to maintain electrical stuff and the reactor. Don’t tell them to put too many fuel rods in the reactor, though.
Some of them could be furries, but who knows. Don’t let them sleep on wires though. Captain won’t be happy.

Mechanic
Maintains the submarine hull and prevents leaks, while having unrestricted access of welding tools and plasma cutters for mining, obviously (if they aren’t taken away by the captain and officer).
They maintain the submarines engine to make sure it goes nyooom and zoomies.
Also, the oxygen generator. You breathe it in a submarine. Maintain it.

Security Officer
Responsible for keeping the submarine safe from threats. Both outside and inside.
Specialty with weaponry, they’ve been shooting threats with turrets since the age of 3.
They can punish and cuff crew members, if they tend to misbehave and attempt to sabotage the submarine.
Note from Carl’s experience: Don’t allow security officers to order 100 decillion detonators- because, Jesus fu----- Christ.

Medics
Ensures the scarcest & key resources does not get lost on the submarine: Humans. Crew members. Also, drugs. They can also make drugs. Mmm, trash morphine…
Got a husk infection? Tell a medic, if you can’t, wiggle in-front of them.
Blunt Trauma Force? They’ll tell you to go away, unless it’s really bad.
Hallucinating? Maybe mention you see colors and think the hammerheads are inside the submarine.
They’ll take care of you, as long you care for them.

Assistants
No specific responsibilities or expertise, hence replaceable/disposable. Intended for newcomers, allowing them to play without giving them an important field to work in. Basically: learn, have fun and don’t try to die horribly.
Their skill tree can be absurdly useful. It’s best to keep them…

What’s the objective there? (spoilers?)
Your objectives in Barotrauma is maintaining the submarine, visiting outposts, doing missions for factions. There are multiple mission types, but I’ll make it short and simple.
* Salvage/Recovery
* Destroying another faction submarine
* Elimination (killing entities)
* Mining
* Transport/Shipment
* Activating the beacon.
* Cult-like missions.
Each mission you do and complete, you obtain money (& reputation) to upgrade the submarine and restock.
I will not be going over the reputation on this review, since I have no clear understanding of how it works completely (only 39 hours), however I will note down lore of all factions. None of them are good guys, and only your crew is a misfit of good boys.
* Europa Coalition – Rule resources with an iron fist and power the Europan society. The most prominent faction and de facto government on Europa.
* Jovian Separatists – Rebels against the Europa Coalition. By any means, they will attempt to topple the Coalition authority. With terrorism! :D
* The Church of Husk – Worshippers of Velonaceps calyx (basically, husk parasite) and are hated by everyone. The hosts who are infected with husk do not seek death, but… transcendence… eugh…
* Children of The Honkmother – Funny fu----- that heed the call of the bikehorn. Unorganized lot of entertainers. Don’t let them approach the revolver. If they do, engage with force that’s stronger than the revolver.

I don’t wanna maintain the submarine! I’m too afraid…
Too afraid? No problem, architect! Undertow has included the Submarine Editor for you to make submarines.
You can make your own dream submarine, with all the guns, storage, reactors, medical bay, anything! Always remember to wire things too, because you’ll be doing that a lot in a submarine editor as well.
You can also put your submarine design in Workshop for others to show off!
There’s also… obviously... OceanGate’s Titan... (sigh…)

Is this game for me?

If you love working under pressure, either alone or with friends, while imagining how it feels like to work in a submarine and probably losing your pair of pants, this game is for you!
Though, keep in mind that the store page calls it “submarine simulator,” which means any action in Barotrauma does not reflect real life submarine experience.
I would love to support the game further, but Supporter Pack (soon to obtain) is currently the only way to support this amazingly crafted game. I’ve already managed to lose my two pairs of pants while playing this game, alone and with friends.

All of my adventures with friends can be seen on Twitch[www.twitch.tv] and YouTube (VOD’s channel).

Special thanks to PhantomDergwulf for gifting and introducing me to this game. He’s also the one that kept me alive from succumbing myself to death.

Overall: 8.7/10 – Barotrauma makes you feel horrified. Your submarine is small, while the creatures in Europa are so big. You can prove otherwise. You, can prevail from the creatures and factions.

Redoing the review, but aside from all other BRs I've played. Super Animal Royale (or SAR) is more forgiving then any other BRs, like Apex Legends, Fortnite, PUBG: Lite, etc.

Super Animal Royale! What is it?

Super Animal Royale, is a battle royale in a top-down "2d," perspective with 64 cute lil' animals fighting for their furvival!
mind the animal puns, there is a lot of puns in this game, including in their Discord server.
Is it actually 2D or is it 3D? Probably both.

The game is one of those "easy to learn, hard to master" as the skill in the game can really vary on:
- The server you are playing on (EU, NA, AS, SA);
- The players you are playing against;
- Your reaction time (& aim);
- Movement;
...and more.

The community is also a blast to be on, including their Discord server[discord.gg] as there are plenty helpful and cheerful people within SAR server. They're always happy to either help you out, or play with them, no matter their skill level in SAR.

The game, itself, what content does it hold?

The game has four modes, but only one is the main mode, others are on rotation.
Main one is obviously: Battle Royale, where you fight for top of the food chain.
Either alone (solo), with a partner (duo), or a whole squad.

Secondary modes are on rotation, which include:
- The Bwoking Dead (TBD);
- S.A.W vs Rebellion (SvR);
- Mystery Mode (Though, that one hasn't come that very often, even if it did, it was hated).

The average match in the game lasts about 5 to 8 minutes, since the map in the game isn't very large and the animals you are fighting against are low (64 in BR and Mystery Mode; 24v24 in SvR; 40 in TBD).

Knowing it's BR, there is also an battle pass--
> Hmm? What? It's not battle pass? Oh right, my bad.

Animal Passes! (Not Battle Pass)

The Animal Pass are more unique then battle passes in most BR games. They don't expire. Yes, you can also do previous season animal passes that have ended, even if you are new to the game.

They do cost like any other BR battle passes, $9,99 (1000 S.A.W Tickets) to start one.
Or... if you are lucky enough to grab starter pack, (which Pixile does every new season in SAR) buy the Animal Pass for the discounted price of 550 S.A.W Tickets during the week that the Animal Pass came out.

It is also possible to do two (yes, you heard me right, two!) animal passes at the same time!
You also don't need to worry about XP split on the animal passes, they receive the same amount.

Cosmetics!

Just like in any other BR games, cosmetics don't provide any competitive advantage. This includes:
- Weapon skins;
- Custom Melee;
- Every outfit;
- Your selected preferred animal;
- Emotes;
- Minimals (or pets).
- Being in rebellion or S.A.W.

Cosmetics can be obtained by:
- Cackling Carl's Cart (with Carl Coins (obtained from playing a match); By no means, I am referring to myself. It's an actual in-game character.
- S.A.W. Shop, as premium cosmetics (with S.A.W Tickets);
- Level-up Pool Drops after the match. (Check what is possible to obtain in here. [animalroyale.fandom.com])
- From the Animal Pass (free or not);
- Starter Packs;
- Super Edition (one-time purchase, it's not a monthly thing);
- Milestones.

It has lore and story?!?!

Just like with Fortnite, yes, it has lore and story behind it. However, it is hard to crack and some people in the SAR Discord server are... discussing it.
I barely know anything of it, since I am mostly there for the gameplay and fun!
banan... banan...

Experiences I've encountered during my playtime in SAR

It'll be a list of experience, so don't expect much from my experiences.

- Teamers, they- er, ruin fun (it is against the rules);
- Server desync, but it's normal when playing off region;
- Server lag in desired region, some data centers tend to die during match and cause huge lag;
- Bullets don't tag/damage the enemy right before you get killed (might be my reaction time, but oh well);
- Making new friends, yes, really. I've made friends over SAR and in their Discord server, they're actually lovely people over the internet;
- Teammates not communicating, err, unless you are in Discord/Skype call, teammates over the internet will not communicate with you.
(who even uses Skype...?)

Conclusion

Super Animal Royale is a definitely a must-try battle royale, also considering the fact the game is free.
It's also one of those less stressful ones, considering the average match lasts about 7 minutes.

It has loads of content planned in the future, the devs make occasional streams in their Twitch Channel, they put out teasers, they also communicate with members in Discord, in Twitter, in Twitch.

tl;dr - devs listen, game cute, fun and not very stressful, praise banan.

Try to imagine Zombie Survival. Okay, good.
Be a zombie? Yeap.
Campaign with co-op? Now, you are on the roll.

L4D2 is basically the best zombie game, you could probably imagine. Comes in gamemodes like: Scavenge, Versus, Realism, Survival, Campaign and customs. Not alphabetical order, be quiet about it.
With also added campaign from L4D1, there is much more than just L4D2. - Unlike L4D1, there was barely any gore added.

With added workshop support, the game also can handle more maps, more animations, custom models (characters, equipment models, weapon models, etc.), HUDs and Sounds. Better thing about workshop - it doesn't do the same sh*t like it does in GMod. (You host a server, you sub to an addon, your friend joins and they have to download the addon to play. It's crap.)

With infected, well... there are many infected. Special infected are only ones that are going to prevent making progress for you and your team : Boomer, Charger, Hunter, Jockey, Spitter, Smoker, TAAAAAANK! and Witch.

Is it worth the price? - Well, best to wait for a sale. It gets ridiculously cheap (1,63€) when it's on sale.
Is it fun? - GOD YES. ...compared with Back 4 Blood... Play the game with your friends (or not...) and find out!
Are you gonna talk about community servers? - The what now? Never played on them.
Conclusion - Find gun, shoot, zombie die. ez gg

Garry's Mod! - Made by Garry himself with help of Facepunch Studios!

Not entirely the best game, but hellava fun playing it with gamemodes like sandbox, Trouble in Terrorist's Town, DarkRP (wait what), and more! That is... if you've subbed gamemodes from the Workshop. Right? ...right?

At first hand, new players would come in GMod and probably think to themselves: "This is just Half-Life 2, but with unlimited freedom and I can spawn stuff?"
At this certain point of century or decade or whatever. - Most people already know what to do in GMod and how to work around it. Even if they recently bought it. I praise VanossGaming for those good times of Funny GMod gameplay, holy heck, that was long ago.

Workshop? Of feckin' course, there is Workshop. Loads of content, everything's from Workshop. (GMod even has achievements of this!) All ranged from Weapons, Maps, Addons, Gamemodes, Models, NPCs, Animations, etc.

The only downside of GMod comes is maps with missing textures. Yes, if you see Pink & Black squares and error props. That means you don't have CS:S installed. It's either you buy CS:S or find an alternative solution. Not recommended, but you do you.

Overall - Is it worth it? Depends. You can obviously play with someone or not, to have fun. Since it has the Steam Networking... thing! You start a Multiplayer server, your friends can join in without you making a dedicated server and forcing you to port forward your IP.

tl;dr version - 9,99$, tons of fun with friends, many addons, physgun go nyooom
