Not the longest, not the greatest, not the hardest.

But ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if I don't hella dig the enhanced movement controls and the overgrown World War II locale. Running down a hill at 200 kmp/h to slam into the rusty iron wall of a WWII warehouse is just so satisfying.

As for the story; pretty damn good, but I ain't sayin' nothin' 'bout it. Go play it.

It's hella short, but hella fun.
Bought it for a quarter, and has as much fun as I would have if I popped that money into an arcade machine. That's worth it to me.

How can seventeen or so pixels turn me into a blubbering mess of emotions.

I struggle to try and summarize this game.
Let's see.... Commodore 64 inspired music and graphics, amongst the most simple yet deep gameplay I've yet seen, extremely difficult yet barely frustrating, and as far as games these days go, there isn't a single product that has this much love crammed into it.

If I had this game on Steam back when it was first given to me in, like, 2003, it would stand well at the top of my total clocked hours in a game list. (so long as many DOS games aren't in there too)
It's such an old game, by comparison, but I keep coming back to it. The non-existant plot does little to hinder the addicting as hell gameplay and sense of achievment when you finally best a difficult team at an objective.

Are you a fan of real-time strategy? Then this is the game for you!
Are you a fan of Warhammer 40,000? Then this is the game for you!
Are you one or more of the above? Then this is the game for you!
Are you neither? Then GTFO.

A stellar example of subtle details. Almost every single little thing you can imagine has little flecks of wear and tear or bits of cyrlic text. And I do mean EVERYTHING SINGLE LITTLE THING.
The whole experience screams of a very Russian mindset - Very refreshing after endless hordes of American-made products.
