It's like multiplayer Don't Starve if Don't Starve was centered on where you spawn and had better combat and less resource gauges and the crafting system was from individual town people not yourself/crafting structures and didn't have free building and you already had a city set up and if you had to defend an objective the whole time.

Pretty much it's not that much like Don't Starve but it's still such a fun game and I love the world exploration so much that I try to run to every shrine right at the start of the game.

Maybe it's like Don't Starve crossed with Sanctum 2? Naw that doesn't make sense either. Oh well it's still hella fun and I'm excited to clear this season completely and see what the next season is about. Might be a little too easy to clear all the achievements compared to how easy it is to clear the season rewards but you also earn stuff from clearing the achievements so I guess it's fine? Maybe? That probably doesn't make sense.

Easily one of the worst PC ports I've ever had the displeasure of attempting to play. The game doesn't have borderless fullscreen, doesn't allow for use of the d-pad (and in turn doesn't allow fully customizing controls), forces you to play the story before playing any other modes, has sub-par graphics that show just how low budget this game was, and on top of all of this, it doesn't even have an option to close the game so you have to either press the X on the window if you have it in windowed mode or force it closed in fullscreen mode. Definitely plan to attempt refunding this even though I got it on sale as it's effectively impossible for me to play due reasons stated above.

By far the best Monster Hunter Game in the series. Everything is so smooth, fluid, and they removed and/or reworked a lot of the incredibly overly technical stuff from previous games.

Something to note for sure though is that Steam seems to be having some trouble handling, what I would imagine is, the volume of people playing this game and the online connectivity for it. Although I see Capcom getting slapped with a lot of the blame for online disconnecting or people shifting to offline mode the game is very obviously setup and ran using Steam's online system so as far as I know Steam deserves all the blame for that. Although I haven't had too many problems with online that can't be easily fixed. Friends aren't showing up in the friend sessions list? Get them to remake the room which you can do right from any quest board easily and that's solved that problem 100% of the time for me so far. Failed to join quest? Make sure you start the quest together if at all possible and that seems to work every time. If it's a failed to join quest before you've departed for the mission restarting has worked 100% of the time for me.

Although Capcom definitely screwed up with the game breaking bug of having your save data corrupted after defeating the final boss. I mean, it doesn't seem to always happen so I could understand if it got through the testing phases but I'd still expect a patch for it to be out already. Meh, as long as you're aware beforehand it isn't a huge deal anyways since you can always backup your file before doing the fight to ensure you have it even if it gets corrupted.

The only other thing to warn about might be that the game is pretty intensive. But that shows right on the page so I'm sure all you folk will read it anyways, right?

I really love this game so much. It's definitely my favourite game now by a long shot and I'm probably going to keep playing it until well after I've beaten it and gotten everything there is to get in it. If it wasn't for those 3 fairly minor problems(assuming you're informed on them) I'd definitely give it a 10/10

PS: And if they could properly integrate mouse movement into the game and give you an option to disable mouse acceleration that would be ace
