Nothing quite hits the same as entering PRHVL Bop after hours of suffering and pain.

Huge step up from the first game that improves massively on the gameplay, music, visual design and character interactions whilst keeping the same strong themes, sense of dread and mystery. If you have the patience to retry multiple times and fully immerse yourself in a world that will do everything it can to make your day worse then you have already attained one of the core themes of the genre, hope and progress through tribulation. I highly recommend the game.

If you don't hate the visuals then it's a fun silly party game with a lot of variety

Huge W for the gaming community. Used an explosive barrel to one shot a boss by throwing him into the void and got told off by an NPC for destroying the furniture

Quite a plot twist... Definitely recommend if you can deal with RPGMaker games. Make sure you try multiple endings as only then does the game really piece together.

Where to begin?

This was the first time I tired a game like this yet right off the bat the setting and music caught my eye and had me playing from start to finish in one sitting. It is not a long game by any means and even whilst appreciating everything you can still finish the base story in under 4 hours yet that does not take away from the quality.

Exploring the house felt thrilling and fun, with sprinkled in quick time events that do enough to keep you on your toes yet are not punishing enough to halt your gameplay. Music and atmosphere is immersive and though you aren't truly ever going to find out everything about the background of the characters you meet and come across, you are given enough to form your own assumptions as to why things have gotten to where they are and how said things involve your own character. The new added blood mode also helps answer many of your questions whilst creating new ones that the player can only speculate about.

All in all fun little exploration game that won't take up too much of your time and that you can enjoy if you're in the mood for a horror setting without the plague of consistent cheap jumpscares that a lot of movies and games fall into a habit of.

As someone that never enjoyed 2D platformer games, I was surprised when multiple friends suggested for me to play this game. They knew well that I never enjoyed these styles of games in the past and yet the moment I launched this game, something felt different... I had been craving for the same feeling of mystery and awe that I had when playing the Souls series for the first time and this game did just that. The combat is smooth and enjoyable, requiring little skill to learn but a level of dedication to apply due to the various bosses/enemies you encounter and the different patterns you have to learn to progress and beat the game. The world exploration is amazing and this is one of those games were being lost and feeling in the wrong place feels rewarding. From a lore standpoint alone, this game blew my expectations away yet coupled with the soundtrack, scenery and rewarding combat system as well as bonus areas that require little to no grinding due to everything falling into place as you play without it feeling like a linear story, this game has to be one of my favourite of all time. I would recommend this to anyone, especially with as low of a price tag as this game holds. (I do think the game is worth more than the full price).

Do I recommend this game ?

That depends really. SCP: Secret Laboratory has a fun interactive community while also being a free game that gets updates and care from the dev. While buggy, that should be expected from a free game and even if you aren't planning on staying for a long time you can sure as hell enjoy a few hours with your friends to pass the time or stay a while and get to meet people all around the SCP Secret Lab community filled with many servers such as Fallout or Freyas with nice staff members and friendly players. If you can overlook the bugs and don't mind dying a lot (because you will die a lot at first) then this is the right game for you.

Anything else ?

Well let's start of with something unique about this game. The intercom, a tool that can usually send a 20 second message to everyone in the facility. This is either the perfect method to organise and inform your team mates of any information worth of value or just a funny way to make people laugh.

Tired of sitting in the facility ? No problem, just grab an 05 keycard or a Facility Manager and nuke the underground. SCPs giving you trouble ? Commander or higher should do the trick.. Just grab a micro and fry them to bits. If that doesn't work then you can always contain 106 by sacrificing a friend or a foe in his chamber.

All in all it's a great chill game to play and relax on. Nobody really takes it too seriously so you can come on to have a laugh with some strangers online and enjoy unqiue funny moments with every passing round.

Early Access Review
Alright so where do I start ? I started playing when legacy was still new, players looked like soldier, there was no building cupboards and doors could be placed anywhere aka outside of door frames. Had a blast on legacy and then new rust came out leaving legacy to be abandoned. At first I hated new rust due to the attachment I had with legacy however soon enough it grew onto me and I fell in love with it. Although it will never replace the memories I made on legacy, it is one of the funnest games you will ever play. It is constantly updated, hackers are barely ever met online (basically never), the community can be both toxic and the funniest and kindest people you have ever met and the amazing ♥♥♥♥ that will happen to you will never be forgotten. I recommend this game to everyone that likes both the fps and survival genre. 9/10

Saw a sign saying roll here. I pressed space to roll and my character back stepped off the ladder and fell to his death. gg 10/10.

Also the coolest looking stuff on this game makes my resistance a pile of ♥♥♥♥ so i die from everything in two hits.

Lastly, i saw two unkindled sitting there doing ♥♥♥♥ so i attacked them. One of them says "you've gone hollowed have you" and then i got spawn camped by them for the next 10 minutes until i figured out how to parry and killed one which led the other into depression and made them fall on the floor and cry. I decided it's best to end her sadness and killed her too which gave me a good sword. GG 69/21 would recommend to everyone that wants to get into an RPG game. This being my first RPG game
