Yeah, I know to many people who go around saying "oh yeah, well I was looking at Joining the Marines" just to get "oh, wow, this guys so cool" reaction, it's not something to trifle around with, it's a very seriois decision. That can have very serious consequences which one must accept first(no matter who you are in the service), and may I ask what your looking at?

But if you look at any site(not sure what you want to do) they will say that, and I know the USMC site recommends talking to recruiters, I do too, they are your best sources for info, and will usually shoot straight, though beware, some will bs you into enlisting, don't ever accept just an oral promise, get it written.
