TL;DR: very well made Emergency response game with good variety and good game play. Game Good. Game fun. Game reasonably priced. Work in progress

Whats the game play?
You're a firefighter simple as. (also EMT/EMS/Paramedic)

How does the game play?
Very well, after about 9 hours of playing on the academy (tutorial) and multiplayer with people from Europe and america i suffered very few latency or connection issues and have a great time.

Is it intuitive?
Yes and No. If you have patience and actually try it and learn you will find its rather simple. like everything it just takes time and a bit of practice (not too much). However for those who want a quick hit and enjoy, unless you understand the mechanics it make become convoluted and confusing.

What type of levels are there?
There is an acadamy (tutorial) that teach you the basics of most of the mechanics in the game. WARNING: These tutorials are very word heavy and requires you to sometimes take multiple attempts, they could benefit from a much better set up as it can be a bit confusing. Three closed levels which are just scenario's for you to run and Multiple free roam maps with multiple stations, emergency calls, locations etc. All can be played solo and/or Multiplayer.

What kind of calls do you get?
They range from as small as a simple false fire alarm that needs investigating & turning off, to fully involved structure fires. High rise fires, wildfires, car accidents, chemical or HAZMAT calls, airport emergencies and last but not least simple medical calls. NOTE: the medical calls are a secondary as of the writing of this. The fire and rescue aspects are much more fleshed out and worked on.

What variety of vehicles can i use?
The vehicle variety is large. They have vehicles mostly from north america, the devs have/are adding more European apparatus however they are still being worked on. From engines to ladder trucks, Quints, tankers, bush fire trucks. Even a helicopter.

Multiplayer?
Yes and a good one, servers can hold enough players to fully crew multiple houses across the free roam maps. While every emergency can be done solo as there isn't a time limit per say, Having other players to help and work calls with really makes this game shine. This isn't a solo game, if you want a full and good experience just drop into an open server.

Multiplayer connection?
As far as i've seen stable, and solid. though this will obviously vary.

Bugs and issues?
Yes, OBVIOUSLY, its a video game. there will be kinks and creases to iron out through its development. some can be very annoying to have but for most of them they can be fixed in game, while others will need either a server restart or even game restart, but these aren't so common.

Style?
The game is relatively clean and nice looking. The lighting is nicely done and the audio is good. There can be minor issues with both but i havnt had much in the way of issues regarding them. Are its graphics next gen and super realistic? No not at all, but don't expect that This game doesn't bring its audience back for its graphics, its the play style, the experience. That feeling of sitting at a station shooting the breeze with some friends, only to get a tone, rush to your apparatus and race to a working fire.

is it a complete product/does it have the finished game Finesse?
Obviously not. This game has a long and interesting road ahead, the devs at Fully involved post frequently about new additions, bug fixes, ideas etc. All on their discord. it is actively being worked on and its community are working hard to help the devs polish it for a smooth gaming experience.

This game is getting a bad rap for no reason. Yes it deserves criticism and feedback, but i've seen far too many reviews just saying its a poorly executed or a poorly designed game. While some negative reviews make valid points about the games physics, style etc. Most i feel are too harsh. Only a few firefighting games exist at the moment. Each with their own charms, styles an flaws.

I compare this somewhat to EmergeNYC's open world and in depth feel to vehicle use and mechanics. Flashing lights for its free roam Multi player. Both are great games which give a unique play on the emergency response world. But i feel like Into the flames has just a little bit more. It isnt a perfect Game like the two aforementioned games. However this has just as much love put into it (Not you EmergNYC).

In Conclusion.

If you like firefighting games and want to play with like minded and even some IRL first responders, give it a try, be patient with it and enjoy it.

Early Access Review
I saw this a while back and i had to try it. now i have it. I'm in love.

After 5 Hours...

This game has incredible potential for both singleplayer and co-op. the wide area map will make it most likely to be in my top 3 RTS games. combined with the interesting tactical gameplay will make teamwork very fun.

I'm glad it has a clear roadmap as to where the game will go in the future. some early access games don't make it clear where the game will develop so its nice to see this included.

While there are a few bugs, they're all early development bugs which im not worried about.

My only concern is the erious need to micro manage every single unit. down to having to turn off engines just so they dont waste their fuel (which ive forgotten to do multiple times now). However...I dont want these details removed. At most maybe adapted, they make it very fun to organise logistics which most RTS's miss out. However it can cause you to lose a whole sessions progress, just because you're trying to refuel a vehicle & Miss Trader decides to wipe you off treasure island while you're distracted.

In total, Great Strategy, Great ideas, i am all in on this train.

I've played to the first hours goal of no life. and so far i've loved it all. I wont go into detail about every pro and con of this game.

I'll put it simple. Yes it has issues, yes it may be a little buggy and sometimes it may infuriate you. But the times i've had on ArmA 3 and Arma 2: OA are the fondest of my gaming life. i met my best friends on ArmA 2: OA when it was still in its prime, (way before Arma 3 was announced). We have our own unit, and a small group of friends who now play and operate together. The biggest thank you i have to this game, is its community for A. being a bunch of awesome people. and B. modders. GOD BLESS MODDERS. all of the mods that make each moment awesome are just *insert italian style kiss of the fingers sorta thing they do when something is nice*

SO enough rambling. Just pick up the game, meet some awesome people and get Arma'd

EDIT: After 2000+ hours, ive lost my sanity...everywhere i go...i just......MAN, 200m, TO THE, RIGHT

Wargame: airland battle Red Dragon, defines Real Time Strategy. the combination of ground, air and naval is just blissful to any RTS fan. larger maps will seriously test your skills in all ways. There are things that could work really well with this, but everything has its limits and red dragon is well over enough to satisfy anyone. if you want a modern RTS, well here it is.

Edit:

150 hours in, yup still bloody brilliant, Its sad to say this may be leagues better than steel division 1 & 2. I do wish there was more to it but thats just personal views. as a whole its one of the best RTS on steam.
