CAPTAIN RIGOR DIMAGUIBA
Philippines
Rigor is an honorable cop and once lived a harmonious life. His once peaceful life was changed due to Ramon assaulting and impregnating his wife. Due to these circumstances, his personality changed to being cowardly, abusive, and hostile to his stepson Tanggol due to being an unwanted son and to his biological father Ramon. His grudge to his archenemy Ramon Montenegro and Tanggol caused him to be suspended from his duty. One day, he faces again with Tanggol in the hospital after his gang attempted to rob Angkong’s money. This time he shoots Tanggol and finally arrests him and his allies for their crimes and for Ramon's action.

In the very beginning, he was a man of principles and an honorable cop whose peaceful life was upturned when the notorious outlaw Ramon Montenegro raped his wife, Marites, impregnating him as a result. As a result, as Tanggol grew older, Ramon showed no love or affection to his stepson as he was Ramon's son, not his. Because of that childish and narrow-minded conclusion, Tanggol had to grow up earning no affection from Rigor, save for the constant beatings that come to him by Rigor whenever he committed a crime. Eventually, this had come back to serve him with karma, as Tanggol discovered that he was not Rigor's son, and has, as a result, nearly killed him in a drive-by shootout and then nearly beat Rigor to death in a street fight.

As the years come by, Rigor became ruthless, brutal, manipulative and egotistic. He blames Tanggol for his failures as a father and a policeman, undermined and disrespected higher authorities such as Gen. Augustus Pacheco, Col. Manuel Suarez and Col. Romero, and even violated police policy more often than not to uphold his self-aggrandizing principles as a policeman. He was also hypocritical to a fault, having cheated on Marites with fellow police officer, Lena Cortez (and had been angry that Marites has been in contact with Ramon and assumed that she was in an affair with him), and has eventually brought her to his house, which further strained his already deteriorating relationship with his family. Eventually, his ambition as a police officer and the frequent upstaging by Tanggol has driven him insane.

Rigor was very close-minded, having favored only his sniveling cowardly son, David Dimaguiba, despite his family's obvious disfavor of him, and was considerably wrathful, having frequently argued with his mother-in-law Tindeng Dimaguiba and even Marites, abusing the latter considerably.

Rigor's hypocrisy extends to the fact that he once committed robbery in a localized public transport, violating his principles as a police officer, and eventually breaking into the Montenegro mansion in an unsuccessful attempt to take Marites with him. His selfish ambition to uphold the law at any costs has ironically violated his principles as a policeman more often than not, having done illegal arrests, possessing illegal firearms and even committed crimes such as attempted filicide.

Though, Rigor's only and ever, redeeming quality was being a sensible law enforcer. He questioned the command authority of both Gen. Pacheco and Col. Suarez for their rash decision to capture Amanda Salonga over the prioritization of civilians held hostage, which resulted in the deaths of the latter. Nonetheless, his reprehensible personality has overtaken his sensibility as a policeman.
