As a gamer, I might be a little picky about what games I buy, but I tend to have a very broad tastes at the same time. I enjoy, with the exception of sports games, almost anything from a bit of RTS, to FPS games, to puzzle games. I will say that my most prefered types are platformers, adventure games, puzzles, shmups. In fact, almost anything with an interesting story is of intrigue to me.

This is one reason why, as a writer and imaginative individual, I look to eventually lend my writing skills to helping games create compelling stories. I love games a medium for story telling, and a lot of game story have inspired my own ideas. Mind you, I also love it when a game challenges you, and doesn't just hand you globs of text.

Some games that have kept my attention have been:
Guild Wars 2
Heroes of the Storm
Starcraft 2
Spiral Knights

There's also been a slew of little indie games that have caught my eye, and I've recently been helping devs with the game.
