My MMO Addiction
Spiral Knights stole 2 years of my life and I regret nothing. 800 hours later and didn't spend 1 cent.
In fact I made atleast $50+ in games from trading In-game currency for TF2 Keys or Steam Games which isen't much really but It's Interesting that playing a game for fun can also turn a profit or lead to getting new games.

Pros:
Gameplay is great, theres no leveling but instead 3 tier lvls and an elite lvl called "The Shadow Lair" designed only for hardcore players that offers players to craft some special top lvl gear there if you can survive. You can move through the different tiers as you get better and aquire better gear so the grind is minimal and somewhat enjoyable. theres lots of different professions to pick from but your never locked to one. Your gear defines your role and how you play which sets it apart from most other typical MMO's.

The controls are fantasic with a combonation of Mouse the Keyboard and the Art style is perfect for the gameplay and character design. You can run a guild, PvP, Fight Boss that are located at the end of each tier (4 in total) and much much more.

Cons:
I started playing rather early on just when it released on steam and the game was very focused on teamwork and provided you with 100 energy (that regens over a full day) so you could play for free and convert your loot into buyable energy to continue playing or come back when you have more energy the next day. When a Player was defeated in battle they could be revived by another player who would give them 1/2 their remaining health. If your whole team went down you could revive using energy that doubled after every death so the more your team died the more it would cost to try again. Teamwork was key to survival and worked very well. NOW Now its just every man for himself, you cant revieve another player, instead of energy theres just sparks of life that are rare to find of you can buy for around 1500cr but the most Important element was the stratagy you went through with making the best of your health and keeping everyone up and fighting as a team.
This ruined the game for me and I only come back now for specific events or new content which is rare.
