Dev has been given suggestions on how to improve their game. I tried making some suggestions in their discord server, for other players to tell me that the Dev basically doesn't care. Here is a quote from an (anonymous) user: "The point I'm attempting to get across is that the ideas you're putting forward were put forward years and years and years ago. Don't get your hopes up. I 100% agree that the dynasty system sucks. Least enjoyable part of the game by a landslide. I'd love to see it changed. Just.. don't base whether or not you continue to play on them changing it."

If the dev's literally put 100 hours into quality of life improvements, and changing their predatory noob trap microtransaction "strategy". They could easily see a growing playerbase that cares for the game. Behind all of the crap though, the gameplay experience is a grind that is pretty enjoyable. but I still.... DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Most recent update destroyed the game. In discord the Developer said;

"[v 1.0.7 "Hot Fix"]
Offline bonuses and helper updates
Adjusted to reset the original maximum value on prestige."

These "helper updates" have caused people to no longer progress in the game at a reasonable rate. Game is now in a dire need of rebalancing. game is currently UNPLAYABLE as of November 22nd 2021. I will not be playing anymore. I will consider my $10 that I paid for the "starter pack" a "cost" of trying out this game. I do NOT recommend to anyone who likes Idle or Incremental games.

This game. I remember staying up late for the release of this on armorgames.com. And guess what. I DID IT AGAIN for the Steam release. Why? Because the gemcraft series is nothing like any other tower defense game out there. I cant think of another TD where you can place your gem tower in the middle of the path that monsters walk (so long as they can get around it). Hell you can even make a maze for the monsters to go through to make them take just THAT much longer to reach you (except monsters know the answer to the maze due to pathing to find the end). Why I bought this game on steam comes down to one very big thing. No internet connection needed.

Oh, I have well over 40 hours on this in the last few days, Its just that most of it was offline.
