This is suprisingly really good, i'm a massive fan of the gameboy game final fantasy tactics and this is basically a modern sucessor to that, my only complain is that so far (4 chapters in) its quite linear when the game clearly can support a lot more freedom of choice with the sheer number of classes and missions there are. FFT had main characters you had to bring on certain missions yes but it also had normal randomly generated recruits you could train up and fight alongside yourself and i think adding a system like that to this series would vastly improve it. The only characters you can get so far are scripted set characters you unlock at set points in the story but you can still find loot of like guns for instance that no character can even equip until chapter 3.
Still enjoying the series so far even if the story itself is rather clustered too and would definatly recommend people try it.

Early Access Review
A wonderful new take on the tiny tower genre, its really well done so far but in this early access stage a little on the short side (can clearly tell will be additional continents and more coming eventually) only thing missing i'd like to see is some sort of filter for the current articles sidebar as it can get quite cluttered and would make it easier to get combos or not include the ones you arn't allowed that week if can just sort them.

Wow this is bad, i thought the reviews were exaggerating but nope, its like they took all the worst elements they could from other sims and smushed them together

i can't say i'd recommend it, i played a playtest/demo thing of it like a year ago and it seemed pretty basic and unrefined and it's released now so i thought i'd pick it up and its still just as basic, just longer.
It comes across as a subnautica esc building type game but without any of the story, quality or life that made that do so well crossed with one of them IdleRPG mobile games doing everything you can to get to some arbitary number for the next thing to happen. There are a lot of terraforming type games on steam with a lot of really good systems and this just isnt one of them its just numbers on a screen there is no balancing of like an ideal planet temperature to acheive its just the hotter the better, doesn't matter what the atmosphere is its just numbers on a screen it just comes across as a really simplified dumbed down approach so they didn't have to put the effort into it which is a shame.

Still nowhere near as good as the original game which is odd when its basically using all of the same systems they cant provide the same quality experience?

It would help if they finished making the dlc before launching it, the game isnt in early access atm it shouldn't be a buggy mess with a bunch of missing elements

The base game Gas Station Simulator is an amazing open to do whatever you want with your garage and spend your time as you wish, tidal wave is MEANT to be a more open experience as they just outright didn't include any story at all, but instead what you get is a case of you HAVE to do everything all at once to progress, take the car wash for instance its an entirly optional minigame on the basegame you can progress if you want to or you can just turn it off and not deal with, but on Tidal Wave its a requirment for the challenges as is every single structure so you HAVE to manually yourself wash just over 200 cars to level it up far enough to be automated, same with the fact you HAVE to have scuba rental and surfboard rental active for it to let you progress.
The customisation options are severely lacking everything is still main game themed they don't even have unique products like sunscreen and you can't even alter the station's roof or how the warehouse on this one looks at all.
In short it just feels like a massive low effort cash grab and i doubt we'll ever see the route 66 triology come to pass

Early Access Review
As a massive fan of my life as a king, and shopkeeping games i was excited for the idea of this, it looks great from the videos and pictures on here too but the UI is darn near unusable, it took me more then an hour to muddle through the tutorial and the most difficult part of it was just trying to read the font, you can't even scale up the UI to make it easier to see.
I play a lot of early access games on here and i don't mind waiting for more content to come but i want to at least be able to actually play the game.

Its just not fun, i keep seeing it updating over the years so i thought i'd try it again and everything still feels so clunky and weird and that its too much work to do pretty much everything in it.

Its a more expensive really dumbed down rimworld.
there's potential for a good game but everything is so mediocre and not fully thought out :/
