Team Ninja basically let Square Enix borrow its homework (Nioh).

Don't let the Final Fantasy title throw you! This is a souls-like game through and through!
The core gameplay feels somewhat of a hybrid of titles from the souls genre:

5% Code Vein (General aesthetic)

15% Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Fights are very parry heavy with a fairly relaxed timing window along with the mix-ups of telegraphed unblockable attacks which must be avoided)

80% Nioh [This one will require its own section]
-Opts for mission based gameplay instead of seamless world.
-Extremely intricate equipment tuning mechanic with hundreds of bonuses, effects and stats to attach to your gear to suit your playstyle. (Which will have you grinding for hours to make that ULTIMATE BUILD)
-Harder difficulties, increased level caps and completely new stat-altering mechanics unlock as you complete late-game content.
-Optional boss-rush missions which make you want to end yourself.
-Just when you think you're finishing the last of the game's content... *BAM* 'Here's a 1000 floor end-game dungeon. Your soul belongs here for the next 3 years'

I bought this game 5 days ago and it has consumed 80 hours of my life.
It has been an amazing time!
