Ctrl Alt Ego is an experience that I cannot recommend enough.
It has so much charm in the dialogue and humor. The music is wonderful, I definitely recommend getting the soundtrack as well. The replay-ability is very high, as there are so many different ways to approach problems that can drastically change the way you view the entire layout of a level. The tools this game gives you access to allows you to get as creative or direct as you feel like.
There are multiple ways to solve puzzles in this game, and the developer encourages you to embrace the jank and considers any possible solution a valid one. Go ahead, break this game, it's alright, there are no rules.
Also you get to play as all the robots so you gotta get this game or else you'll be trapped in meat space during the great extinction event.

In all my days of playing video games, this is by far the best game I've ever played. It might just be the best one ever made. I'll bet money that this game saved the gaming industry much like Super Mario Bros. for the NES. I'm sure you've been caught in the massive crowds of people rushing to their computers shortly after hearing about this game, undoubtedly to purchase such a once in a lifetime deal.

It has the most mature and experienced devs the world has to offer. A simple google search will show you only a hint at what this game is, for the rest of the game is simply too elaborate and mysterious for any one person to discover entirely. You do not understand the beauty of this game until it gives you a default aspect ratio that cuts off the unneeded buttons on the side of the screen like the arrows to change characters and weapons, or my personal favorite button, the "EXIT" button.

The best part about this game is the community and devs. Once you think you know everything about this game, you search it, and you go even further down the rabbit hole. You'll soon learn that the developer is a part of a massive secret organisation, possibly behind calamities as far back in time as the roman empire. Because if you find his response to video critigues, input the codes, invert the letters, look at it in the mirror, then sprinkle your computer monitor with holy water three times, your computer may explode, and if you did it JUST right, you'll be gifted with your next clue. Just remember to keep looking at your reflection's eyes until the ceremony is complete.

This game looks like it could be fun for a couple minutes, maybe a half hour if you really like the style.
That's pretty much all I can say about it seeing as how I can't play it at an FPS above 3. I'll be the first to say that my computer has a bunch of issues going on right now so it shouldn't be considered a standard, but I'm able to play Skyrim on low settings at an FPS of at least 30. That being said, I put the settings of this game to "fastest" (because even the MENU was laggy!) and I still couldn't play it because it kept freezing up like a rusty roller coaster. REALLY FAST FOR A SEC-- stop... OND THEN IT GOES AN-- stop... D STOPS.
This game has absolutely no business lagging the way it does. If it was a graphically intensive game I could understand that, but this game doesn't even have any textures, and some of it is in fact wire-frame. Duke Nukem 3D is more pleasing to look at and it's probably the most optimised game I own on this computer.
I'm sure this game probably runs well for a lot of people, but I think it should run well for everyone considering how simplistic everything is. That IS the goal of this style, right? I understand a lot of people think this looks good, but for it to look like this AND play terribly makes it feel incredibly lazy. I'm glad I got this game for free; I would consider paying even just a couple cents too much.
This game is not recommended. Just play Star Fox for the Super Nintendo if you're in it for the style, or F-Zero if you're in it for the speed. Everything looks about the same, it feels better, and you'll actually be able to play it instead of trying to reverse engineer the damn thing to try to get it to function.

Age of Mythology: Extended Edition is a fun RTS game that allows you to play as different ancient gods and use their different abilities to wipe out your enemies. If you're a super competitive gamer and love trying a bunch of various strategies I would totally recommend this game, this is for you. I haven't played the other Age of Mythology games, so I can't say how accurate this one is, however this was recommended to me by a friend who says it's very accurate. Take that as a third party source, though.
This is by no means a bad game, and it excels in what it does. It provides a challenging RTS experience that you can enjoy with friends or on your own. The problem for me comes from the game being a tad too competitive. This might not be a problem for you, and it might actually be a good thing. If that's the case you should get this game, probably when it's on sale. If you share the same opinion as me in this area in that you would rather spend your time goofing off than strategising and micromanaging resources, I would say no, you'd be better off spending your money on something else. That's just me, and I understand a lot of people feel otherwise, but for people like me I have to say no, I don't recommend it.

Terraria is one of those games that allow you to gather resources and use them to create all sorts of tools to either gather more resources or defend yourself while gathering more resources. It also allows you to build homes, decorate them the way you want, or use everything you got for a massive art project. I like games like this since they allow me to be a bit more creative, but all that isn't what makes Terraria special. For me, Terraria is special because of the way it handles adventures.
Terraria allows you to go on a bunch of adventures that you send yourself on. You'll probably look up how to do a lot of them since it'll allow you to unlock more vendors for wherever your house is, but nobody forces or even asks you to do any of it. You usually just go out to explore and find whatever treasure you come across. Since the maps are randomly generated, it's pretty unpredictable what you might find. You could either find an abandoned mine shaft with supplies in it, or you might find a magic tome so you can cast spells on your adventures. You might even find a big boss that you need to beat to get into a section. It's not just the standard "Get supplies to survive better," but instead adds a nice twist to it. I usually try to find anything magic, as that's a unique feature in this game as well. This game doesn't take itself too seriously, and I respect that a lot.
Since Steam recently allowed Terraria servers to be hosted on Steam servers, it's much easier play with friends than it was before. I recommend this game for anybody that wants to go on an adventure they create themselves, preferably with friends.

If you've seen my Hotline Miami review you'll know that it's one of my favorite games. When I heard that the 2nd one was confirmed, I tried my hardest not to get my hopes up too high. The first one was so good that it'd be near impossible to live up to... or so I thought. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number blew me away. At first I thought it might be the fact that I might've just been expecting it to be good, but then I found myself clearing rooms with a pistol while a guitar riff started going off in the background and dismissed the the notion almost instantly.
Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number took all of the great aspects of the first installment such as the intense, fast gameplay, the action-movie grade music, and the pleasant graphics, then put all of those on steroids. The story wraps up nicely, answering most questions the first game asked, introducing a bunch of new interesting characters. Unfortunately since it does this, the game had to compromise the freedom to choose whichever mask you want on whatever mission you wanted to use it on, instead only allowing certain masks to be used on specific missions.
I definitely recommend this game to anybody and everybody that enjoyed the first game.

Hotline Miami has managed to work its way into my top 3 favorite games. It's fast paced, the style of the game is really nice and colorful to look at, the music is the kind of stuff I would like to hear playing in fighting scenes of an action movie, and it constantly provides a challenge that gradually increases with each level. It's a short game, and I'm not gonna lie, the replayability is pretty low unless you're interested in the questions the story leaves you with. However, to fix this they threw in a secret ending. It's not much, but it's enough to get you to come back.
You don't usually expect a game based mostly on its gameplay to have that much of a story, but you certainly won't find yourself skipping over a bunch of cutscenes because you think they're boring. In fact, if you skip over them at all it's more likely that you're doing it to get to the real meat of the game.
The game isn't perfect, though. I personally could do without the hospital mission towards the end, as it really takes away how fast the game is being played. That's not to say I didn't enjoy it the first time, because it's an interesting way to get more involved with the plot, but most of the time I just want to get to the rampages.
This is a game I could play for hours on end without question, and it's easily one of my favorite games. With that said, this game is very violent. If you're sensitive to violence, or if you have kids around, you really shouldn't play this game.
