Palworld is the perfected craftopia model the devs have chosen to stick with for now. It is a pretty fun experience despite the very early access vibes. The game will likely never "finish" but is fun for a bunch of friends to enjoy. Basically pokemon meets ark survival evolved with a dash of base building logistics and automation. The game covers many genres of video game so it would honestly be difficult for someone to not enjoy this game.

Game is unplayable

A lot of tutorials to learn how to play a game that doesn't have functioning servers.
When you try to play you'll sit through a lot of failed matchmaking, and when the match starts you'll likely drop or the game will crash, then they will ban you for leaving games in progress.

Log in and collect your gatcha mechanic if you want

Beícoli is a great singer and did the theme for this game, and has other great songs on spotify / youtube / apple

Devs say they want as much people to enjoy it as possible, but I think the low price it to get you brainwashed into their gang, and then you have to buy the DLC like they plan to launch later (after you support at launch 40% off)

They made valheim, how can this be bad?

Has sweet charm, great gameplay, perfect levels of difficulty, procedurally generated caves are nice and feel fresh each time

I have trouble putting it down

Play on a private server with your friends for a bit, enjoy the content, uninstall.

Game is poorly optimized, and requires a 2070 to get good frames on ultra with decent bases, as well as a very nice processor.

Official server gameplay is just meshing, duping, hacking, and game devs don't do any administrative things in regards to banning players that cheat.
The community is incredibly toxic, the grind is insanely time consuming, anyone can raid you at anytime, so you know ... don't ever stop playing or go to sleep, that way you can defend your base at 4:20 am est on a monday / tuesday.
You know ... becuase that is when people will come to offline raid you.

Things take forever, either gathering, breeding, or anything, it all takes a really long time.
Without bossing, and having access to cryopods, breeding is just horrible.

Sometimes, your friends will try to get you to come play on their server, because they know you're really experienced at the game, and good at PVP, so they'll tell you that they'll kill the entire cluster server with you, and it'll be fun, so you join them, and breed up like 30 something high food daedons, raise 50+ trikes, some steggos, tons of wyvers, get some chalico breeds for over 100 turret dinos, start the water dino line raising a buncha icthy and megaladons, breed some of those, do the ank line, and mammoths for great gatherers. Even raise 2 gigas!
Literally solo start the raid against the cluster alpha, and then the guy gets all "On second thought, I don't want to raid and kill everyone, I want to like, try and get this girl's snapchat and build bases, and maintain all my ark content, and just do upkeep.
The girl owns the alpha tribe, lets ... lets not wipe them. Then you look at all those daedons, and the gigas and oh yeah the 9 quetzals and like 30 argents? anyways, you raised an army for murder on valguero when valguero could invade any server, and they couldn't invade valguero
You completly meat ran the alpha, and the server was yours, you just had to take out this Jamaican guy's crew, which woulda been e z clap, but nah "There are these cool women in there" and my friend just "Gotta get them snapchats"

Oh, Oh, and lets not forget that Substitute guy that owns the salt discord.
He impersonated me for 2.5 years, going around ark hacking on a character named Verra (was my character's name) and would take pictures of me off my instagram, and facebook, and post them in discords, on a fake discord that using the same name as mine.
Going around doing a minor identity theft.
Lest not forget that ark has people like that on it, that do things along those lines.
Oh and I've ran into more scumbags that doxx on ark than any game.
Lets not mention all the DDosing of servers that occurs, literally onetime a server was DDos'd for a solid 2 months, so that we couldn't play. ♥♥♥♥ you know, someone spent that much in resources to keep an ark server down, these people are crazy.

PVE is a joke, and has a community that is also pretty toxic.

Privitive+ is ez, and lame
RP servers are so-so

3/10 don't waste your time
