I've had a long experience with the game and would still recommend it even though i currently go against the competitive side of the game for it has being overly saturated game after game by players who flood it with smurf accounts or the now often hackers, if you see competitive I'd say you could try ESEA instead of the Official Matchmaking games. I would still agree that if you befall in the skin insanity sickness is hard to get yourself out of it, mainly referring to myself, months after i posted this review during the Bloodhound Operation I got a Dragon Lore Fac New drop only to later lose it in a middleman scam and become obsessed with gambling and cases up to this date, even though i haven't spent in gambling or cases as insanely much as i used back in late 2015 and early 2016. I've played competitive for about 600~ hours while my other hours are in custom games like surfing, TTT and BHOP servers, custom co-op games with friends, operation missions from Bloodhound to the current Hydra operation, and all other official game modes like TDM and Casual. If anyone interested my highest rank in competitive was Master Guardian 2, went down to Silver Elite and now currently Gold nova 1 even though i was Gold Nova 3 back in June and didn't do competitive for 2 months, even now my last game was in August 20s because i was invited to some random game by a friend. The game has many flaws in all sides of it, many who consider game breaking or like how a pistol can 1 shot an enemy but a rifle for more than 6x the price cannot (referring to the FiveSeven vs M4s). The only thing that hold me back from recommending against it is because i've had a long "life" with the game and met countless people because of it and still play it, but not competitively. In other note, i have spent $1,200+ accumulatively directly in CSGO, $700+ in Gambling sites and case sites, and $300+ in Trade ups while wasting $200+ in skins turned into useless items, games or trading cards to level up. I currently own an "incomplete" inventory for which i want to complete only to ease my sanity, though i have recently struggled in life and sold skins for which have supported me in my struggle financially. I yearn for valve to one day make the game more polished and balanced in the case of overpowered pistols and under the hood ♥♥♥♥ on rifles and fix the issues with the recent uprising in cheaters. Even for a cheap game of $15 and developed by such a big corporation, i'd imagine they would give a ♥♥♥♥ for once and address all of its flaws and should do it NOW that PUBG is challenging valve in their "battlegrounds".

Comp sucks, play if you want to play with friends and custom games, if your financially challenged, evade skin sanity at all costs, use ESEA or such for comp.
