Fun and challenging shooter!

Selaco is quite old school shooter with large expansive levels necessitating exploration and keycard and/or switch finding. It is also very atmospheric and pulls the style off really well. Enemies are pretty smart and challenging, so quicksaves are your friend here.

The weapons are varied and all of them are useful. They also have upgrade kits you can find around maps in secrets that changes how the weapons behave. They also have more basic upgrades you purchase, keeping all of them relevant throughut the game.

There's also quite a bit of references to other games it draws inspiration from, and it does not really take itself too seriously.

If classic shooters are your thing, this is definitely recommended.

The style is spot on, has that retro scifi look of pixelated flat-shaded 3D renderings. Together with the synthwave soundtrack, really evokes that feel of early 80s/90s scifi and atmosphere.

Doesn't hurt that the gunplay is fun as well.

Weapons feel and sound powerful, and all of them are useful. Maps and general aesthetic is gorgeous for the engine.

If you like 90s shooters, this is a solid choice. Otherwise the the price is a bit steep for what you get now in first stage of early access, though I have to assume this'll change once more content is available.
