They lost the plot, TLDR SBMM and promotional trials ruined my favorite part of the game (ranked)

recently:
- SBMM (skill based match making) in the context of ranked punishes you for playing well and makes your actual rank meaningless as it essentially solely represents playtime, in the context of pubs its good but takes it to the extreme making you face disproportionately hard opponents so if they tuned it far down it would be fine (pubs shouldnt act like ranked)
- new promotional trials promote ratting, avoiding fights and generally unfun play style, while also griefing your extra lp if you were close to ranking up
- forced cross progression lost insane amounts of heirlooms, duplicate skins and stats, ea completely mishandled it

furthermore still:
- havent banned cfgs
- havent fixed no audio on ppl coming up on you
- have insanely priced collection events and cosmetics targeting whales to satiate their EA corporate overlord
- havent given console a newgen update to up it to 120hz (non steam related but still crazy)
