A convoluted mess of spaghetti the designers "fixed" by nagging the player constantly and giving the player free respawns.

Women fear me
Fish fear me
Men turn their eyes away from me as I walk
No beast dare makes a sound in my presence
I am alone on this barren earth

Runs at perfect 60fps, set to high, at 900p. On my i5-2500K and HD7850.
This Wii-U original has been ported "emulator-style". No functions or sequences requiring the gamepad screen have been removed. Instead, you are given an OSD of the gamepad screen that you can toggle with SELECT button, which is necessary for certain functions and sequences in the game.
Just like the original release, I really feel that Chapters 1 and 2 (operations 001 and 002) are very clumsy in both writing and overall design. I beg of you to be forgiving for janky sequences that get you stuck and lots of long and awkward cut scenes in these chapters. Not to mention, you can't even block OP-002 bosses punches till you gather enough fighters, which you are without for the first half of the fight (without NG+ atleast).
The game gets more exciting and has better flow from Operation 003 and onwards. The main campaign is my absolute favorite campaign of all Director Kamiya's games. I recommend it!

I like it a lot.
If you're expecting a dog-fighting game, the controls are gonna upset you at first. But the truth is this is NOT a dog-fighting game. If you can step-aside and accept the things the game does that betray normal piloting controls, you'll find it works great for itself and that it's better off being unique; with the strong system it has.
The game falls into its own category of 3-axis movement, with plenty of great manuevers to pull. Just as well the map design is superb, offering fantastic structures and fantastic routes around, near, and through them for pick-ups and items.
The weapons are load-out based, and to compliment this each weapon is surgically adapted to specific play-styles.
From the "sure-hit, low-dps" shotgun, for dodgers; to Splash projectile rockets and direct-hit projectile Carbine; to Sniper-lasers, and more still.

If everything is pink for you, add "ForceFixedFunction = yes" into beat.cfg
Just use your search function to find beat.cfg
