While starting generally strong the puzzles quickly cease to give you anything particularly interesting to challenge you on an understanding front, a number of the areas are also just plain boring types of puzzle.

The game's primary hidden objective is also increadibly dull and uninteresting.

It has some cool mystery and hidden things but the generally dull feel of the puzzles leads me to regret having paid anything close to the release price.

Very strange review. I would state just the opposite: The game is quite good with give you something different and challenging on and on.
But all this new and different things are very specific - they are rules about how puzzles and the world function. If you don't like exploration of the rules, then indeed, the game fails to provide anything else, that is not it's goal.
