Early Access Review
Super hyped for this as I enjoy the genre.

However couldn't even get past of the first boss of having the game properly link to my account, and after a week of zero responses from support, much less any sort of acknowledgement of the issue plaguing myself and others with this particular issue I have no choice but to refund. Can't say anything about the game itself, but the process of obtaining a key and dealing with the company has been unacceptable.

Clever game that is highly addicting.

Runs super well with low requirements, and didn't encounter any bugs to speak of.

Pretty straightforward game loop and gameplay, the only "downside" I would say is that it was a tad too grindy for what the loop.

Would say it's definitely worth the price.

Was super hyped for this game to release only to realise a few things:
  • Performance, poor as heck, it does get "better" once you've first launched a map and it's completed it's shaders (which it DOES NOT warn you about by the way).
  • AI issue, the AI workers seem to be a little worse than before... they did try to do a rework with the ability to have headlands and up/down the field for a I'll call it a more realistic approach to how you'd do the field but it's not consistent. This feels like a way to stop the AI from getting caught on tree's and map objects outside of the field but... it's not there yet.
  • Buggy as all hell on the controller, I lost the ability to hire an AI worker or get the overview to toggle while using the controller. The button worked just fine as I could interact with the machines manually and it would work in the options, but the AI option just flag bugged out. This happened across multiple saves and different files.
  • Removal of game elements that were in previous versions. This version so far doesn't have things such as environmental mode etc. As others have stated it has less machine options than previous titles... I realise that each iteration costs licensing fee's but this was an utter disappointment for me.

There's some complaints you'll see about this basically being a reskin of FS22, and they're not wrong, but even still I would have played the heck out of this game after putting in hundreds and hundreds of hours in the previous iterations. However with the bugs and poor performance I refunded this, as the only way to let publishers know is with your wallet. Wait for the inevitable go on sale as it'll be monetized to heck with year 1/2 and probably year 3 passes and if you can hold on, wait for it.

I originally played this game before they added the campaign mode and it was 'ok'. As others have commented the end game is the same, for me repeatability is limited due to such boxed in progression. I also have found pacing off, while it's nice to not be punished for lack of production it really seems like the different mechanics of the game fall over themselves to create inflated difficulty in places it doesn't need.

Logistics just seems like a large waste of time for the most part as the belts early game are too slow to properly split. The timing and ratios are also hard to figure out due to inconsistency of belts vs chutes and so on.

I first 100%'d the achievements before the campaign was added and I'm trying to make my way through the campaign to re 100% this game but I'm finding it painful, the number of campaign maps could have been reduced to like 5 maps instead of 8 easily.

If you really enjoy these types of games you may still yet get enjoyment out of this, and if you're a true sandbox person that doesn't care about achievements (unlike my OCD self) you may find this enjoyable though I would recommend purchasing on-sale.

This is one of those that's close but doesn't quite make it, a few tweaks and some solid look at pacing / repeatability would greatly improve this game, but as for it's current state, I wouldn't' recommend there's better out there.

While this game seems like it has promise and some good fundamentals there's a few issues:

- Uninspiring enemy "wave" attack tactics
- Replay-ability for me as there just isn't enough variation, feels like there's no point to starting another game after 100%'ing achievements
- UI is hot garbage, like absolute trash with the bugs and weird behaviour
- Sound I had turned off after minutes
- Feels empty towards the end
- the dynamic cloud system they're proud of is more annoying than cool from a graphical interface
- all in all the game doesn't feel polished or finished, could be something but right now it's bleh

If you're a fan of the genre you can def use up some time on this and the game wasn't overly pricy, but for me I've had more fun and less frustration with other games though at the same price point that held my interest longer.
