Dynasty Warriors but top-down with rogue-like elements.

A pleasant and unexpected surprise that made me really happy as to how it turned out, going through quick action-packed stages while setting up a team and considering stat distribution for maximum damage and tons of flying enemies that come crashing into the screen.

That being said, it would benefit from more content, as unlocks are easy to get (other than weapons) and levels/enemies/bosses become stale quickly.

With the current content I'd suggest waiting for a sale if you're a casual rogue-like enjoyer.
If you're also a DW fan consider supporting Warriors Abyss at full price point, since you'll likely get your moneys worth throughout a couple hundred hours of grind to get all weapons and achievements.

Single player extraction with a lot of charm.

Provided plenty of hours of fun but at the end, both the quest line for my faction of choice (Crimson) and the main quest felt extremely underwhelming for a 1.0 release. Both left me disappointed after so much time invested in the grind.

Although the endgame feels stale balance-wise, with tier 5-6 armor everywhere and only a handful of viable ammo types and weapons, and the skill/perk/base progression feels a bit under cooked, the overall experience was enjoyable.

Highly recommendable, especially on a discount.

Marvel Rivals does plenty of things right:

- Cheaters getting banned under 24h after reporting, plus haven't come across too many.
- Great aesthetics and decent performance with some drops here and there.
- Large variety of characters with great skill expression and team-ups.
- Persistent battle passes - no FOMO, no pressure!

However, the competitive experience as been terrible, at least up Platinum which I'm currently at.
Having no role queue means that most matches will have people immediately locking into damage roles and ignoring the 2/2/2 meta, making the experience toxic and frustrating with some players throwing the game on purpose or getting into petty arguments.

I don't mind tanking, I dislike healing, and I rarely get to play as a damage dealer unless I lock into it quickly and hope we have enough players willing to go tank or support.
I'd rather have a longer queue and get to consistently play the role I prefer, than having instant matchmaking where I have to endure playing a role I do not enjoy.

Not recommending the game any longer for 3 main reasons:

- Predatory micro transactions that push towards expensive gambling events.

- Low TTK, .2ms unless you always use high-end gear, unrealistic for most players.

- Cheaters.

Developers keep asking for reports and google form submissions, but whats the point in a free to play title where cheaters can just make a new account and get back into it in a few minutes?

As I'm a masochist and extraction enjoyer, I can keep pushing through 99 crap operations sessions just for that 1 that actually provides a balanced and enjoyable experience.

Looking forward to this, hope it will have the means to speed up gameplay as the pacing is a bit too slow.

Been following this game for a while.

Backed it initially but refunded it as the whole experience was very mediocre compared to other extraction shooters I play.

Decided to give it another chance months later due to a sale, but there's just not enough in Project L33T to justify its price value - PvP is pretty much dead due to low pop and hacking, and the new PvE mode fails to offer any relevant challenge.

As a zombie enjoyer, I revisit this title multiple times every year.

And will always keep coming back for more.

At its core its a great coop extraction experience, it just needs more polish, content, and meta progression (hoping for an upgradable hideout and some sort of prestiege system).

The one map available is fairly large but not as re-playable as I expected - it does have varying tasks to achieve but it would really benefit from different ways of extracting (solo friendly extraction if everyone dies, alternate final extractions).

This type of predictability has turned most sessions into speed runs by more experienced players, taking away from the experience and immersion.

Looking forward to see how this develops.

Arcade take on extraction looter shooter, where unfortunately low TTK and camping aggravate the experience.

Third person camera also facilitates camping since you can peek without exposing yourself.

You can use some premium currency to insure your loadout, then proceed with camping drops or extraction areas risk free, and even lay some traps to further improve your odds.
This makes the whole situation camping situation worse and more rewarding, since it makes it even lower risk.

Decent maps (a bit small and bloated with foliage at times, making camping situation worse), hideout upgrades give meaning to the grind, and streamlined looting that minimizes inventory management during gameplay.
Also appreciated the multiple ways of detecting players in the map to avoid or pursue conflict.

To have a better chance of looting and extracting, camp inside a bush - near some POI if you want to get 1-2 easy kills, then wait for the airplane to drop the crate. Doing this will make it so that at most you'll have to deal with 1 to 4 players in the lobby, improving your chances greatly.
If you want to go full rat, extraction camping works as well as in ETF, just stay in a bush until someone tries to extract, kill, loot, and escape. Since the TTK is so low, the element of surprise wins 99.99% of the fights.

Art, animations, UI/UX and SFX subpar and even terrible at times, but the performance is good.

It's free but might as well pay for a better experience if you can, and there are more refined free options out there as well.

So much potential squandered by consistently poor decision-making by the developers over the years.

As if dealing with hackers wasn't enough, they thought it was a good idea to add aim-assist.
That pretty much seals the deal for me, no need to echo most of the informative negative reviews.

Had a good run and do not regret the purchase, just disappointed that the game got worse over the years.
