Most of the negative reviews are people who didn't know what the game was, people who just don't understand how the game works and refuse to learn, or people who were plagues by the incredibly unfortunate Error 918 (which has since been fixed). Yes there's a learning curve to a lot of the mechanics. The game is as deep as you make it. Once you get the hang of flying and all the systems it's an absolute blast to play.

To be honest, I was skeptical of this game. Everything about it was just wrong. It's not Bioshock. Bioshock is supposed to be scary. It's supposed to make me drop a load in my pants but keep me so enthralled that I don't want to get up to change my newly-soiled rags.

This game was scary in a different way. This game doesn't rely on scaring you with some atmospheric tricks and jumpscares. This game makes you think about things that most people don't want to think about. It's an absolute mind♥♥♥♥ at times, which can be much more disconcerting than any Splicer jumping from around a corner.

This is truly what Bioshock is meant to be. It's supposed to make you question humanity's quest for constant self-improvement as well as each individual's own search for self worth. What makes a person good and what makes them bad? My only irk with the game is what they did with Songbird (you'll understand).

Early Access Review
This game is like an engineer/sadists dream-come-true. How can I create a machine to slaughter a bunch of people as quickly and cleanly as possible? This is definitely a game to help the kiddos learn some critical thinking skill. Soon, your kids will be terrifying war-mongering medieval engineers!

To me, this game is the pinnacle of the Arkham series. It took everyhthing that the series created as far as mechanics, gameplay, and story and improved upon it several times over. Taking out enemies feels like a tactical decision and like it's something you have to think about. Mess up one little thing, and it could cost you your life, or somebody else's.

The in-fighting that's present in Arkham creates one of the most interesting environments of any Batman game. The sort of omnipresent gang war that's going on while you're out doing your own thing is really entertaining. If there's one thing that the Arkham games always nail, it's the ambience of being the Bat.

If you want an experience that's really going to feel like an authentic Batman story, this is it.

If you love classic RPG games, you'll love the Baldur's Gate games. They're a blast to play by yourself or with friends. The learning curve is a little steep if you're not used to games like this, but once you've got everything figured out it's tons of fun.

Highly, HIGHLY recommended game. The visuals are stunning, the sountrack is crazy good, the combat is the most fluid I've seen in a game in a while, and I'm really starting to get attached to these characters. I'm even becoming sort of attached to some of the Uruk captains. After finally chasing the down and killing them I just get this sense of "I kinda actually miss that guy. We went through so much together". Overall, it's a brilliant game and I can't recommend it enough.

I'm not sure why this game is getting all the crap that it is. It's exactly what was promised, minus the graphics bugs of course. Those bugs, though, have been addressed and are currently being worked on.
Overall, I've had a lot of fun with this game. The feeling of a fixer's car slamming into the blockers you just hacked up is extremely satisfying. It makes you feel powerful and gives you the ability to change the game and how things work. The camera-hacking is like a huge puzzle/stealth game. The multiplayer is loads of fun whethere you're playing with friends or joining random strangers in free-roam. The seamless multiplayer is extremely impressive, as well.
