At the moment I can not recommend this game.
Performance isn't great, Graphics set to low and I get around 25-30fps (RTX2070). Lowest I've seen is 11, highest is 100.
Clock and countdown-timer are on by default but don't work unless you turn them off and then on again.
After a ♥♥♥ is counted out you expect some sort of "game over" screen but nothing happens. If you push them far enough the countdown timer just starts again.
If the time is up, your ♥♥♥ stops responding to input and that's it. All you can do is press escape to get to a menu.
I treid installing the game on another PC but it has most of the same issues there.

Playing through this game again, but this time on a Steamdeck.
I realize it's not for everybody, but I'm enjoying it even though the game is almost 8 years old.

Basically, it's downhill racing without an engine. Just streering, brakes and a bit of air control after a jump.
Runs smooth for an early access game.
Don't be fooled by the looks: crashing mean back to the start to try again, difficulty ranges from "Gold on your first try" to "grinding the same track for 3 hours just to make Bronze...."
Has multiplayer and a track editor (and cats, and frikandellen, and hats, and hammers, saws, ice road, fans and more stuff to screw up that otherwise good run)

This is a lovely game. It took me about 1 hour to finish it, then spend the rest of the to find ll the secrets. (Only 1 more to go)

Fun little game, can be finished in about 1 hour and a half. Not too easy, but not too hard either

You have to build something to finish the level, that can be from simple "to get the job done" or something complicated/weird just to see if it works.
Things can break if it isn't strong enough or fall over if the centre of gravity isn't right.

This is my 1st game in the serie and I'm enjoying it. I had to get used to the turn-based combat and the sometimes weird orientation of the map.
Bit of a slow start, but I'm glad I played through it. Just started the final chapter and I didn't have to do a lot of grinding, but I'll probably need some more mira and septium (for equipment) once I get to Grancel.
Sometimes it's not really clear where to go or what to do. Not everything is in the notebook and saving the game in between had me searching for the NPC I had talk to.
Some long scenes with just talking, some unexpected plot-changes that have me wondering what's going on with the character.
I can't comment on the music, I never listen to in-game music and it's turned off (in every game I play). You can't hear Joshua play the harmonica or Oliver on the piano, although those are music they are IMHO not game-music but sound-effects.

No time to write a proper review, it takes time away from playing it.

I'm really enjoying this game. Racing, cruising around or exploring. It's a beta, it has its bugs, but tha game runs fine at 1920x1080 on my GTX660Ti. It seems to be locked at 30 fps which might put some people off, but to be honest that hasn't bothered me yet (even though I prefer framerate over eye-candy).
Customization is optional. You can change colors, stickers, bumpers, spoilers, etc but you can keep the car stock if you prefer it that way.
The cars look good, and the 2 specs (street and dirt) that are in-game turn the same car into a completely different beast.
Driving isn't very realistic, but not too arcade either. It is fun to drive, and that's whats counts.

This is a fun game and it gets even better in co-op, either local or on a LanParty.
