Helldivers 2 is a third person shooter in where you and up to 3 other divers are voluntold to 'liberate' some of the worst places in the known galaxy why? because one day someone may be born on those worlds and will vote in the future.

Memes aside for a moment, its a game that for the most part rewards tactical thinking, a degree of forward planning and coordination between ground, air and orbital assets. By all means you can and will rock-brain some missions and act as a 4-man battering ram with flamethrowers and alarming access to tactical nuclear weapons but then others you'll take the best aspects of Metal Gear Solid V's slow and steady gameplay and mesh it with the a trailer for the good Battlefield games.

Also the community is rabid, I mean, in a good way, for a game about political violence and democratic idealisation, they took those messages to heart and rabbit punch any outside force that tries to alter their preferred version of the game.

In the end, you can do worse with your currency of choice, you could buy the latest hot AAAA shooter and fund actual nasty people, or you can fund reasonable swedes that just seem nice.

It's a terrible game, balance is all over the place and hitboxes remain unfixed after 5 years.
