I really love this game.

One of the few times a long wait was worth it.

A very high usage of AI. (I'd be more than happy to give another chance and change my review if it gets changed.)

It felt very soulless and a bit lazy when depicting a very rich historic culture to see murals using AI generated women's faces and portraits of characters generated when they could've literally just rendered the character into an image in the amount of time it took to generate.

I am privleged to be employed at a game studio where I get to work with several few other passionate people with sets of skills, yet I have been for over ten years and have met many solo developers through networking and friend circles that create amazing games all from scratch through motivation, love of games and artistic integrity. Being a solo dev isn't an excuse to take shortcuts for something that may take at most 2 hours of your time to do.

EDIT: the developer took my review down for like two hours until i pointed it out to him. take that how you will.

good but it's very annoying people rage quit and when you join a match, instead of being put at the start of one, you're put on the losing side of a game nearly finished.

Just finished my first playthough and I could write an essay on this game with how much I loved the story and gameplay. However I am sick of how every UE5 game I got to install a fix to make the game run at an acceptable rate. Baking AI Upscaling into a game just feels like lazy optimisation. I do really love this game but that aspect really irks me.

Regardless Silent Hill is back baby. Time for the other endings! (aliens?)

If you love games where your hand is not held and you are driven by the love of exploration and intrigue of discovering the world, story and puzzles for yourself like me, you'll love this game.

This game is being totally overshadowed by Hollow Knight: Silksong and deserves heaps of more viewership. You can feel the passion and love put into this game by the devs and it's rare that a game like this even gets made.

The game is only let down by it's admittedly shallow combat, but I hope we can get a Hell is Us 2 to expand on that because I loved every other aspect.

9.5/10 - Totally worth the price.

you know you got bad launch content when even in the stuff in the store looks so plain and boring that you don't even get the FOMO of other live service shooters

remove the macrotransactions and replace it with unlockable skins

10/10 - genuinely best DooM game imo

washed my hands with a soap dispenser, that created an explosive cloud, not knowing i was in line of sight of an active turret shot in my direction, causing an explosion which jettisoned myself and three enemies in the same room, clearing out half of the mission's enemies by mistake. incredible immersive sim, people are seriously sleeping on this gem.

you know a game is good when you want to replay the demo over and over. this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rules.
