I just finished this game in one sitting not too long ago. It's a decently short JRPG game with an amazing story, music, characters and pleasant-looking scenery of detail of the dark environments surrounding our characters. I haven't had a game like this that had me constantly tear-jerking so much near the ending of its game in quite a long time. It's a beautiful work of art that tells a down-to-earth story with a mix of silliness and seriousness that really deserves more attention to the general public.

I've never played games like the Mother series before, but I was somewhat feeling nostalgic hopping into the RPG mechanics of the game, fighting intimidating, but fun and quick boss fights with the big blue brute and his little companion. It was always a blast mixing up your fighting style when going toe to toe with each new enemy. Easy to understand and isn't too overwhelming learning what you had to do to figure out a certain pattern when in battle.

My only complaint is the game not being too "interactive" with its world environments when you have people like me wanting to explore more of the areas and click around on stuff, seeing what's interactable and what the characters think of their surroundings.

Highly recommend playing and experiencing the game on their first go. 9.5/10
