Good. Takes a bit of learning what some of the wording on the cards means, sometimes you just make blunders because it's not explained clearly enough.

There is no way to turn off crossplay controller aimbot cancer. I only want to play a fair match against mouse and keyboard players. When a controller player locks onto you, they will finish their kill. This is very noticeable in every match.

I played around 25 hours of the beta and thought they would have an option to disable crossplay on PC on release, but alas there isn't. Instead the devs have publicly stated their commitment to catering to console players at the expense of PC keyboard and mouse players. I also had the game crash for the first time in the settings menu during a match in my first hour (never happened in beta). The game feels much rougher around the edges than in beta for some reason and most of the good content was available in beta—as in most of the new maps and gamemodes that have unlocked now are worse than the beta content. The netcode and server selection isn't great either. It was placing me consistently in servers with 50-80ms when I should easily be able to connect to a server with 30ms in the US. Kill trading and dying behind walls is common with 50ms. The custom matchmaking setting doesn't seem to work properly either, it doesn't actually restrict it to the maps and gamemodes selected.

I refunded the game primarily because of the aim assist issue though, that's the most frustrating thing.

It's the old game and old engine with graphics on top by Unreal Engine. A lot of chiplet CPUs are having stuttering issues with this because the old engine would've been made for monolithic CPUs and high single core speeds. Intel 14th gen and earlier runs better than AMD Ryzen or Intel Ultra 200 with this title.

Runs great on 1440p ultra with DLSS quality and frame gen on. 150-200fps outside with no stutters. GPU bound of course. 14900k undervolted and frequency locked to 5.9GHz p-cores, 5.0 ring, DDR5-7200MT/s 2x16GB tightened timings, and 5080 125% power limit Aorus Master OC 3.1GHz core +1500 mem.

It has a good variety of tests; good for testing overclock stability. I got a bundle with most of the DLC for $9 in 2020.

I'm #1 in the world on 10900k and 3080 in Steel Nomad with a score of 5089.

Positives:
The gunplay and abilities are like a combination of Dirty Bomb, Blacklight: Retribution, Apex Legends, Battlefield, and Planetside 2, with some weapons and sub-classes you would find in Team Fortress 2. The gunplay feels like you'd expect from the older tracking-heavy shooters. Longer TTK rewards good aim, and players with good awareness and positioning can dominate. The movement isn't too sloppy, not too fast that it's impossible to track, but still fast enough that light and medium classes can peel off and choose their fights. There's a massive skill carry over from any tracking heavy game that emphasizes headshots, positioning, and team fights. One skilled player can take down multiple enemies alone, with massive reward.

Negatives:
Only has two game modes right now and doesn't have any weapon attachment customization. It's really hard to win a game if you solo queue with the existing game modes; you're going to end up on the team that had leavers and obviously no comms up against well coordinated teams. I really wish they had the type of weapon and armor customization that Blacklight: Retribution had, this is the perfect game for it.
There are some cheese weapons that are annoying but that's really par for the course when you want to make a game with mass appeal. All of the games I compared it to had their own cheese for people who can't aim. The core mechanics are there but it still feels like early access. I am wary of future updates, since games coming out of beta tend to show their true colors then.

Performance (1440p native, i9-10900k 5GHz, RTX 3080 FTW3 water cooled, DDR4 32GB 3200 CL14):
I did notice some input lag and framiness and ended up reducing my settings to all low except view distance, AA, and textures on epic with DLSS on performance and lighting on static (RTX off). The input lag is definitely still noticable with a high framerate. This system does dip below 144fps regularly, especially when building destruction is underway.

In my opinion the game feels like a combination of some of the best things that have defined shooters for the past decade and a half. As of now it's probably my favorite shooter released in the past 10 years that isn't shut down. I'm really happy having a modern, well populated shooter with controls and gunplay that I enjoyed years ago. It's rekindling some competitive fire for fast paced shooters I had 6-7 years ago. It's probably my favorite game right now, and it's the only game that's had me consider a computer upgrade in years.
