This and its' predecessor are absolute masterpieces. I don't have it in me to go into crazy detail, but these are legitimately two of the best games I've played in the last decade, and they're Doom mods. DOOM MODS. If you like crazy, original weapons, mind-bending and creative level design and navigational puzzles, excellent and all-original sprites and art portrayed through highly surreal mid-90s tech restricted graphics, enemies that are very clearly a product of a highly troubled mind, skinless demons in cool hats, and want it all wrapped up in the still-unbeatable raw, faster than fast paced FPS action that's Doom's calling card, then you've come to the right place. Not only that, but the creator put all the time and work into coding the games and doing all the art for them from the ground up, and they put them out here on Steam for free. You can tell it was a labor of love. Or maybe hate. Probably both, actually. I'd pay for them if I could. 10/10.

Imagine Dark Souls, but you have the option to look the other way and do something else if an area/boss is giving you too much trouble or you're hung over and can't handle the bright blue light of their magic attacks.

Hits:
+Huge, highly detailed and beautiful game world(as always for FromSoft)
+Silky smooth fast paced combat(Dark Souls III style), except you get a horse, summons, and more wild abilities now. The Tarnished is probably the most powerful FromSoft player character so far.
+More high-fantasy feeling setting(a minus for me personally, but I can't speak for everyone here)
+Lots of crafting and collectibles for those of You out there(y'all know who you are)

Misses:
-Runs like ♥♥♥♥ on basically every PC in the world(They'll patch it eventually). Still playable, but be aware
-No more intense endorphin rush from defeating powerful enemies by attrition. Granted, this ISN'T a Dark Souls title, and isn't telling the same story at all, so this one' basically just me whining 'cause I liked that part of the DS series
-The Knights are no longer Sad and Goth. They are now Sad and Mystical.
-Why isn't it just called Light Souls because that's exactly what it is

10/10, even if it's my least favorite of the FromSoftware Souls and Souls-adjacent games. Excellent and well worth the purchase.
