I rarely write reviews unless the game is absolutely trash or surprisingly good. For Supermarket together, it's the latter.

To be honest I did not have any expectations when trying this game at first. It's free plus it's a newly developed game. I thought it was going to be buggy but it turns out a lot more polished and enjoyable. At least their servers are even better than overcooked.

I'm a big fan of repetitive grinding. The concept of levelling up for upgrades and unlocking more stuff to sell makes me feel like I'm actually working towards a goal. My friends and I ended up going back every day just to see how advanced our store could possibly be. The vast majority of products available also blew our mind considering this is a game that was released few days ago. The graphics are of course not top notch but the selling point of the game was the game-play and it is clear that the developers took the right choice. I would rather play a fun game than a nice looking boring game.

I really am excited what ST could achieve within the next few years to a point I wouldn't mind paying to support the development of this game. It's very rare to find a game that is as function-able, fun, free and promising as ST.

Early Access Review
One of the games that could bother me to write a review just to express my experience with this game.

Concept was really nice, the animations, models and graphics could match up the other best MMO dinosaur games out there, however there are 2 main reasons that was causing this to be barely playable.

1: Bugs and performance
I bought this game hoping to play with a friend without strangers trying to sabotage the game, yet we are both unable to host a server privately as there was no loading screen after pressing "host". It was just a black screen. So we had to join other servers and missed the features and settings we were looking forward to set it for our gameplay. There are not a lot of prey to hunt and there are no cpu to hunt you either. So it's like a waiting game just to wait for your dino to grow.

2: Development speed over the next few years
I thought this game was developed the past year or so, given there are only a test map and an actual forest map to wander around. By the time I was writing this it has been 9 years since the game was published. I expect it to be an at least half-done game with minor bugs. What I bought was actually way less than what was advertised. It looks unfinished. The rocks and grass are floating above the ground and the hit-box could make even the most patient person in this world frustrated.

I was hoping in the future we could pick up our prey so we could gather food easily, more variants when it comes to attacking other prey and more maps. But until then, for the price of ten pounds bought during a Steam summer discount fest, I would consider the quality not worth the money.

Rich story line filled with a very simple and player friendly gameplay controls for both players. Its strength lies in the aesthetic as an art form. Very interesting and creative concept that really strikes your emotions when you see the contrast of both sides on the second playthrough.

Considering the fact that you could experience the full game with just £5, it's absolutely a must-play for friends and couples. I hope it gets viral because this game deserves to succeed.

Interesting and fun concept. However I guarantee you'll have an extremely hard blood boiling time playing this.

Controls are absolute useless and frustrating. I got levels that does not have a single bed or sofa so I would just randomly collapse during the most critical times. Want to pick up that bug you just swatted with a mop? Fun fact, you are not going to since the huge amount of trash bags will cover it. By the time you moved the trash bags away the bug has gotten up and is ready to burst more tumours around your ship. Those annoying doors will make sure they all shut when you're passing them, causing you to drop the bugs on the floor, which another swarm comes after you during your 3 seconds of vulnerability. By the time you're done with your actions, you're dead. Dead because you aren't allow to move when opening the damn door.

I enjoy the strategic aspect and theme of this game. I admire its approach and creativity. It has a lot of potential but currently it needs more time and effort to make the game functional.

Words cannot express how disappointed I am with this game. It has everything it needs to succeed; an ambitious, innovative concept with a spectacular idea that could lead the game industry into a brand new generation. But somehow it failed due to one of the most idiotic basic mistake a game could make: Poor gameplay design and unresolved bugs.

Graphics are amazing, the fact that we could explore in a vast world full of mysterious ancient creatures, build an empire and train dinos is absolutely stunning. However for example the building mechanism in the game immediately turned me off during my first 30 mins of playing. It was complicated, not user friendly at all and I often get stuck inside structures. It could have been a minecraft sort of simple and effective building mechanism.

Second, the most frustrating thing is that the bugs are killing your beloved dinos. Spent hours hatching an egg but then a glitch happens which starves the dino even though I have enough food in its inventory. Dinos doing the most ret...ed thing which caused their own deaths. It's like when you put in an insane amount of effort and suddenly the game just went nuts and deletes your thing.

I am looking forward to any future projects this company may have but right now with this price, I would not recommend this game to others.

Since every play through has its own unique experiences, this game’s repetitive gameplay mechanism still brings surprises even after your many attempts. The people you met, the relationships you have built throughout your journey, the nights survived worrying about tomorrow’s fate attached to the feelings of despair from the bottom of your heart. This is truly a stunning masterpiece considering the efforts and intentions executed as an indie game.
