At first, I was really hooked by the game. I thought 'finally someone made mahjong for white people'. But then I realized that there is zero to none player agency. You either roll good cards and vouchers and win the game, or uh... don't. That's it. There are ways to reroll hands and shops and bosses, but the funny thing is that you need to roll those rerolls in the first place. And even if you do, in the game with so many cards and probabilities, they almost don't matter.

If you want a good game about playing around random chances, I suggest trying out Dicey Dungeons. And Balatro... well, at the end of the day, the only good thing I can say about it is that the dev was nice enough to not make it into an actual casino game with bets for real money.

The spaces are tight, and the fights are to be had in them, indeed.

Ok, so the devs at Namco made a really good game. And then the execs at Namco decided to ruin all of these efforts.

First, they released an in-game store selling in-game stuff for real money, despite Tekken 8 being a full-price AAA-game packed with DLCs on top of that.

Then, rather than fixing the issue with cheaters that has been present FOR YEARS, they decided to ban modders. Apparently, Namco decided that making cosmetics for free is so wrong, you deserve a lawsuit.

After the Nike collab, I can finally be at ease not launching this garbage ever again. F Harada, F Michael Murray, F everyone Namco's executive board who decided it would be cool to promote child labor.

I'm not even going to discuss balance issues or how the heat system ruins the game, because I'm just done with it. Not even getting close to this dumpster fire ever again. Heiachi Mishima may be still alive, but Tekken as a franchise is dead and beyond salvation. Good job, Harada and co. Hope you're proud of what you've done.

Not as great as Streets of Rage 4, but still a good game. Would like to see more games like this one.

This is the chapter where the game falls apart. The gameplay becomes infuriatingly tedious and the story becomes predictable at best and disappointing at worst (really? we're doing this "I need an ultimate body" schtick?). Also, up to this chapter pretty much every location has been weird and unique. Now it's a forest and a cube.

Monster Hunter: World, also known as Monster Hunter: World: Iceborn is a Japanese Rople-playing Game (JRPG for short) in which the player takes on a role of a monster hunter. The plot of the game is rarther simple: a giant monster appears and it should be hunted. In order to achieve this, the main character must become prolific at hunting monsters in general. Thankfully there are plenty monsters to hunt, which is foreshadowed in the title of the game (Monster Hunter). There are also many hunting tools, palicoes (basically, a bunch of pissed of cats) as well as many other monster hunters to aid you on your quest. Inventory management might look overwhelming at first, but after some time, it all becomes your second nature, and you become really efficient using your arsenal to hunt monsters. Also, this game has lots of different weapon classes and weapon upgrades as it's nigh impossible to hunt large monsters with your bare hands. Weapons for hunting monsters include: large swords, large transforming swords, shorter swords, really short swords (like absurdly smol), double-edged swords, weird pointed swords, weird hammers, and guns. And if that's not enough, you can always hunt mosters by grappling to them with your slingshot, and if that's not cool, I don't even know what is. All in all, Monster Hunter: World: Iceborn is probably the best game about hunting various monsters, so go out there and have a blastnut.
