tried Halych-Volhynia and got objective to establish "Russia"... Not Rus, not Ruthenia, both of which are the same and were the real goal. No. "Russia". It's like if you'd play as England and your objective was to establish France... i can't play game that is so stupid

Overall this Demo was good - much better than 1st one. Now it feels close to Gothic. But yeah, there are many moments they still need to fix.

Diego says everything inside the exchange zone is property of Old Camp, but player can steal everything right in front of Whistler and Diego and nothing happens (also, Diego speeks like he's on 1.5x or 1.7x). Same with Orry. Just came there and took his apple. And yeah, why didn't he give any comment about newbie having beer right after leaving the exchange zone? I hope it won't be like this on release.
I can't understand why'd they use torches during daytime. WHY? They'll give you nothing, but take your time and resources to make them + you need to replace them every 30-60 minutes. It looks really stupid. And yeah, light there feels terrible. Too dark.
Right after we see a little... idk, shelter? I'm talking about this strange structure on the left. Why is there chest with stuff without any lock? Any newbie would take it. Like i did. Any Shadow would do it - don't forget that they aren't rich and they aren't in same good position. Nobody would just leave some stuff like this. And yeah. Why is there a barrel stuck in the roof? This texture looks so bad and so misplaced. And once again. All the torches around. WHY? FOR WHAT?
The cave with 2 molerats. Why are there torches and candles burning? For who? Who lighted them?
There also are some bad textures like under the bridge from the camp side.
Story itself already have strange moments like how'd they clear all the rocks during a day? It's not like even now that'd be easy, but during medieval time? They'd be happy to do it in a week or so. Also, i don't get why Rats would just attack Nyras. He could see that there was only him and monsters. He knew he haven't seen his friend at least from last night. He could see that his mate killed some time ago, not like 1 minute ago. And that timing with picking the note (mine bugged, so i picked it 2 times) - it's like he was just looking at his buddy's corpse from distance, waiting for Nyras to come by... like he knew there would be new meat coming that day...
Don't get me wrong. The game feels good. I just hope that it'd be rly good, because all of this is just a lazy writing/designing and even i could fix this during day or two at max. So i hope devs would do it

so, about this "game". Let's start from the beginning - the menu. You can't go windowed, borderless etc. You can't go back from the options otherwise than saving options. After starting new game you can't skip any cutscene. You can't get any achievements 'till u beat the game and start the new one.
Gameplay... what can i say, arcade games from 80's had much more interesting and complicated gameplay. Dig to sell, sell to dig. You have very small inventory for the most time, and if your inventory is full, ore is just destroyed. Yeah, it won't just drop, like it should. U'll lose it. And to see how many slots you have free, there are no useful indicator in UI, you need to open your inventory and check there. Also, you can't drop ore from inventory and game is forcing you to run and sell it.
Economy is as primitive as it can be. You just dig raw materials and sell them to restore HP/Energy and buy upgrades. You can also buy lamps and dynamite sticks. But lamps are very dark and dynamite sticks are weak and you can't but upgrade or a triple stick, pentastick etc.
Light is terrible - it has it's own life. You can see everything clear from the surface, but see nothing after going down for a 10-15 meters, no matter that it was very bright from the surface and you can see the sky from the spot.
Storyline... well, there aren't one. I mean, it's like dev tried to do something similar to "Hello, Neighbour", but he/she was too lazy and just created a lazy intro and outro (boring, and remember, you can't skip it), that's all. And even here it's ridiculous - the same thing that trigger the outro isn't triggered by similar actions without the treasure...
Textures also are something - digging them with drill usually leads to seeing the gaps here and there. Also, sometimes your dynamite will just vanish after touching the ground - probably because of these gaps, but i'm not sure.
So, i'd say that it's not the full game (hate devs who mark early access as a full game), it's not Beta, It's not Alpha, it's not even pre-Alpha. It's just demo, pre-pre-Alpha, done in a day or two. But it has the price of a good indie game... Such a shame

game was interesting for 5 hours. And for CityBuilder/ColonySim that's not enough. The economy system is unbalanced, research tree is bad version of civilization, and most features are in other similar games, so this game feels like DLC to previous ones, not some new product. Also, there's rly bad optimization.
But if it's your first/second game in these genres (and u have good PC), give it a chance. It's not that bad, problem is that after 3-4 similar games, it has almost nothing to propose.

Normal focus trees, option to demilitarize zones, aircraft designer, unit medals and embargo... Price of a good game for a core features. Any normal developer would add it in a base game. Or make really cheap price, not this high. You literally release early version, call it 1.0 and then make tonn of DLCs and updates to make it look like a game. But unlike honest developers who mark it as early version, you try to get all the money that we have, hiding features that should be from the start behind paywall.

in this expensive game updates with core mechanics like weapons market aren't free.
Pay price of good game to get ONE of MANY DLCs. Pay price of good game series to get all DLCs.
And if u r rich or brave enough to pay such high price, be ready to play alone or with randoms, since the chance that your friends will buy this game and all DLCs (and spend hundreds of hours only learning the game) is very low. Like really, really low. Because yeah, you can start the campaign being the only DLC owner as the host. But you can't load the game with your friends if they haven't your DLCs.
While many game creators who care about players, not only about getting more of our money, are including updates in base game, Paradox makes 10% of update free, usually boring 10%, and all interesting stuff that should be in a base game the hide behind expensive DLCs. Like i don't mean music, skins etc. I mean core game content like focus trees, decisions, weapon trade mechanic, spying mechanic and so much more stuff.
If you continue to pay for that, be ready that in HoI 5 you'll buy each country with DLC. And you'll need DLC for every mechanic, focus tree, decision and even menu buttons will be hidden behind paywall. That's second worse studio of my life. I won't buy anything from them untill they make all the games playable without paywalls.

as F2P player you can loot something good, but after the match you can only sell it. Because you can't access the other game mode, where you can wear something good. And you can sell it only for very low price to the NPC merchant, since you must pay 30$ to trade with other players. Also you can't even compare classes as you can have only 1 character (why not 2 at least?). And if you want to try another class you should delete character and lose all the progress (free to play... yeah, if your time costs nothing). Then if you understand that previous class was better, you need to... yeah, u r right, delete your character and create new with that class. And farm again from the start. Also if you play with friends and solo, you must choose the class good for both solo and team (very easy to do as a new player, yeah). Because in other way you'll suffer at solo games or your team will be angry because you have trashy class. And it's so easy to fix. Give 2-3 characters slots for free and let us use the loot we get. Make some mode for everyone where players can have good items. Or let players at least trade with other players so they can get more than 20-40 coins for good loot. I mean, that's so ridiculous. We don't want everything that payers have. But with this limits, where you literally have 2% or the game, call it demo or stop lying to us. It's not F2P, there're almost 0 gameplay, only paywalls like in trashy mobile games. And even paying is one big mess, since there aren't regional prices. Not everyone have thousands of dollars per month to buy 30$ few-years-being-alpha games.
