If you think about it, pickle Rick is actually a metaphor for the oppressed society that we live in today as gamers. When Rick, the scientist, turns himself into a pickle he is changing his very nature and physical being into something that he isn't used to or comfortable with to escape the turmoil of his everyday life. His oppressors, his family, are so degrading towards his mental health and remarkable scientific achievements, he, as a pickle, attempts to escape his home, being a house, as a pickle in the sewers. The sewers are symbolic as they represent how dirty a gamer, the gamer in this case being rick as a pickle, can be and how our friends, depicted as vermin, are the only company we have, and we, depicted as Rick depicted as a pickle, kill our friends everyday in Cs and valorant
