THIS IS A MIXED REVIEW!

Review copy was provided by the developer.

The game is a linear atmospheric adventure/walking simulator horror type of game and took me about 4 hours to complete.
Pros:
  • the erie background music and sound effects do a good job at keeping the game atmospheric
  • immersive adventure/walking simulator gameplay
  • the story makes sense, and gives your purpose

Cons:
  • minor issues noclipping though certain types of pillars (most people won't notice this unless you explore) - NOW FIXED
  • there are some bugs, that have a negative impact on the immersive gameplay which include some graphical glitches and tears in a few spots, inventory text improperly positioned - SOME FIXED
  • purpley-pink screen [of death?!] a few times in one specific area
  • dissatisfying ending

Conclusion:
Overall, despite the bugs, I still enjoyed the atmospheric gameplay and thought it was worth the playthrough. However, with the current bugs as they are, I cannot recommend paying the full price. I have spoken with one of the developers, and they are going to look into the issues I've mentioned here. Hopefully, they will patch soon, and I will revise this review!

If you're looking for a good roguelike dungeon crawler with RPG aspects, look no further! Dungelot has what you need!

Pros:
  • randomly generated floors so no dungeon is the same
  • 4 unlockable classes for diversity and replayability
  • RPG aspects like various usable items, unlockables, and character stats/upgrades
  • endless dungeon modes if you want to go for your personal best
  • 3 acts of gameplay that bring in new enemies and fresh abilities with each

Cons:
  • the game is easy to learn, but a bit on the addictive side (I will NOT accept defeat!)
  • story is irrelevant to the gameplay
  • lack of inventory space can be irritating at times

Conclusion:
I wound up playing for over 10 hours. It's definitely worth the purchase!

LiEat is an excellent story rich game with great character development and multiple endings for each of the 3 parts. It's well worth the purchase!

Pros:
  • interesting and enjoyable story
  • really good character development
  • realistic character behaviours
  • multiple endings for each of the 3 parts
  • good developer support on Steam discussion
  • Steam Trading Cards

Cons:
  • music sometimes had a pause when the tracks would loop
  • simple combat that doesn't take much thought (expected though since this game is about the story)
  • potential to get 'stuck' if you rush the dialog and/or forget what you were supposed to do
  • the game is short if you rush through it, and you probably won't enjoy it - I recommend taking your time to really absorb and appreciate the characters and the story

Conclusion:
Overall, I enjoyed what this game has to offer, so I bought 2 copies on Steam to support the developer.

TL;DR: SKIP TO CONCLUSION!

In SUPERHOT, you control time! It's more of puzzle game than a FPS though because you need to have patience to plan your movements. If you rush in, you will likely die. When you stop moving, time nearly haults as well. You can use this time manipulation to dodge bullets, narrowly avoiding death as you destroy all of the enemies in each level. Throw weapons or various objects to block bullets and disarm your enemies, hot switch to change places with one of your enemies, leaving them to die instead of you.

Pros:
  • interesting and intriguing story (it took me about 3.5 hours for the main story)
  • awesome, fun, and unique gameplay
  • lots of content after the main story (different challenges, time trials, endless modes)
  • easy to upload and share your replays to Superhot's killstagram.com right in the game

Cons:
  • not a whole lot of menu options (lacks fullscreen windows, controls)
  • SUPER HOT repeating voice gets annoying after each level

Conclusion:
Overall, the story was well done, and the gameplay was very enjoyable. This game has a lot to offer, and you can pull off some really crazy plays. If you enjoy challenge modes, timed modes, and/or endless modes, this game is certainly worth the full price. However, if you intend to play ONLY the main story, I suggest waiting for a sale.

Broken Dreams is a casual platformer with some minor puzzle aspects. By moving around and copying yourself, you must find your way through the levels.

You move around, and then make a shadow of yourself as you return to the starting location. Your shadow carries out the actions you made. You can repeat many times and use your shadows to complete the levels.

Pros:
  • cheap to buy
  • steam Trading Cards
  • music was pleasant
  • good concept with the shadows (reminded me a little of Braid)
  • simple, casual gameplay if you're looking for something quick

Cons:
  • voice acting was irritating and over-done
  • short (but for the cost this was expected)
  • mediocre story

Conclusion:
Overall, I did enjoy the gameplay, but wish it had been longer. The voice acting was the most annoying part for me to experience. But after buying the game on sale, and selling the trading cards, it only cost me about $0.30, I feel I got my money's worth.
