After having exhilerating time with XCOM:Enemy Unknown, It was only natural for me to buy and play XCOM2.

XCOM2 is a suped up version of XCOM1. For 1 player mode, it doesn't disappoint. I am a casual player and so the mode I played was mostly the experianced player, non-pernadeath mode. What can I say? I love progression and save so many times.

Anyways, the single player progression mode made the game so much fun. Developing your army, crew and working against turn timers, incoming alien bombardments made the game so satisfying to play.

Multiplayer mode is a let down though. Somehow for me and my friend, it still doesn't translate the experiance in single player into multiplayer so well. Maybe XCOM isn't ment to be multiplayer. Much like a chess game, you have to wait for the other players. I tend to find myself wanting pull other another game because XCOM multiplayer does drag out for length periods of times. Only time it took me and a friend to play 2 hours! Another matchup?!?!? No thanks... I need to recover or eat something.

For it's replayability, there is alot here for it. I believe the replayablity and ironman modes are left to the hardcore players and not for a casual player like me, who needs to get back to studying, working full time etc~. Including social life, if I can keep one :P.

I believe this is a must buy for anyone who loves progression and strategy to games.

I have played SMITE back in it's initial beginning when it was largely imbalanced and had a pool of about 10 Gods. Had excess of 30hrs playing to conclude it was not worth my time where other games in this genre was far more satisfying to play. Years later, returning to it, I believe it still unbalanced. After a hours of it, I had noticed people flocking the the selected few charater types, despite the charater pool have grown.

The style of playing in 3rd person mode rather than overhead is excelarating at 1st however the experiance is somewhat shallow and to me. It felt gimmicky. Other games of MOBA genra appear to give a better depth of gameplay, whilst 3rd player style of this game didn't have it. The animation and gravity of each hit just felt like just that. Animations! What I meant by this is that the hits collisions just didn't feel like it has any weights... You could be hit by mobs, other heros, etc~ see numbers come up but your charater just doesn't show any weight of the hits. This reminded me the good old poor designed 3D MMORPG.

Smite is not for the un-experianced player and the community is not very forgiving. This is where SMITE can fall flat. Because it's community base of players are not nice, even if you are not in the way of their victory in a match up. It was not a fun experiance learning the ropes of this game with experianced players insulting me, depite me trying and have let them know I am learning. The learning curve is high because the controlls are unintuative and the player base doesn't make it fun. Perhaps the game implementation can make it more forgiving for new players because as it stands, experianced players simply prefer to laugh and insult new players. Because of this, I believe this game won't fair well with new players.

There is not just spiteful experianced players in this game but also from the other side of the spectrum. Once experianced, you will always run into new players matched with experianced players. This causes frustrations across both groups. Maybe the developers could implement a better system for match making.

If you are new to the MOBA genre, dont touch SMITE. It will rub off you badly with it's current community. It probably best to try DoTA instead because the game and community is far more diversed and forgiving.
