Do a no kill + no detection playthrough on very hard. Just do it. It really allows you to see and appreciate the very deep level design that this game has, along with the evolution of the obstacles you face as you get further and further into the game.

One of the most brilliant single-player experiences of this decade, and it's on for an absolute steal of a deal right now. Just do yourself a favor and buy it and experience the rich story and crisp game mechanics that really set you off on one of the most fun and "play your way" adventures you'll find on Steam. Between 3 different endings, multiple different in-game choices in terms of "side quests" during missions, from kill everybody to kill nobody.. This game has something for everybody. And it does it well.

This is my second time owning Dishonored, originally completing it on the Xbox 360, and I've gotta say, it's even better on PC. By a lot. The controls feel so smooth once you get used to them (personally it took me until about the end of the first real mission to feel fully comfortable with the PC control scheme), and with so many options of how to move about and get in and out of places, you'd be hard-pressed not to find a method that's fun for you too.

I can't recommend Dishonored enough, *especially* for the current sale price. The DLC's are totally optional, and other than the Void Walker Arsenal DLC they're just independent content to play other than the main story. I would still recommend them because they add a whole new playable character and story to the game, but if you aren't sold on Dishonored as a game yet, just the main game itself is still an incredible game to start with.

No review could ever hope to sum up the scale, grandeur, and replayability of this game.

Just play it.
