Lore backed theory incoming. It never says straight up that Miquella is “gay” but based on the evidence provided in the dlc we can be pretty sure Miquella is Radahn sexual. My biggest reason to assume Miquella is gay for Radahn is that if his chosen consort was to be used only for power and as a speartip for his forces like many claim then why not just have Malenia be his chosen consort? The two were already extremely close and she would have been the most reliable ally possible for the role and we see all that Miquella does to save his sister from her rot as well as her immense power so why not her? My theory is Miquella is just a twink with the hots for his massive hunk of a brother because there is no other reason he would be so hung up on Radahn who is very much and has always been a direct threat considering Radahn’s views about the Golden Order and Miquella’s are completely at odds with each other. We know that when Miquella confessed to Radahn about his love and plan to be a god with Radahn as his consort he was denied by his half brother. Then we get the insane amount of scheming and outrageous lengths Miquella goes through to essentially force Radahn to be his chosen consort. It can only be extremely obsessive love and desire that drives Miquella to the lengths he goes to all to have his perfect version of Radahn to be by his side. Miquella builds his army at the Haligtree to challenge his brother’s and sends it with his sister at the lead against Radahn with the explicit purpose of killing him. We know this from the description in Radahn’s young armor in which he hears “Miquella awaits thee o promised consort” when Malenia uses the bloom which was a guaranteed death sentence for Radahn. Meanwhile Miquella clearly engineered his abduction by Mohg so he could use Mohg’s blood to purge the golden lineage from his flesh body and so he could use Mohg’s omen corpse (since omen cannot fade and return to the Erdtree in death) as a vessel for Radahn’s soul which once Miquella elevated to godhood he would be able to control upon revival. A curious thought is Miquella is essentially eternal since his curse of abundance prevents his aging and he used the Haligtree cocoon to forcibly age himself to the point we see him at during the boss encounter. With that in mind maybe using Mohg’s omen body as a base for Radahn’s new form also provides an eternal body forever locked in its state of youth for the now resurrected Radahn to complement Miquella’s now aged up form which with his curse and ascension to godhood would most likely stay agelocked as it is. Another thing to keep in mind is that Radahn at this younger age would most likely be how he was at the time of his little brother’s confession of wanting Radahn to be his chosen consort. I can’t think of any other reason Miquella would want Radahn to be revived in his youthful form other than that as we can most assuredly assume that Radahn only grew in power as he aged before he was defiled by rot. At any rate with his plan going as he wanted, a trip to the Shadow real, and ascension to a form of godhood later BAM! MISSION COMPLETE! Miquella now has what is basically a puppet Radahn revived in a younger form and forced into subservience to Miquella. Why do I say Radahn is a puppet? Well we know Miquella has the power to compel people to love him and now as a god I would imagine that power is now far stronger than it was when he was a child and first confessed to Radahn. It’s also a guess but I assume the now revived Radahn has glowing golden eyes because he is under Miquella’s new god level power of compulsion to love him. I base that guess on the fact that there are a lot of portraits of a pre rot infected Radahn around the game and in NONE of them does he have eyes like this. From all that we learn in Shadow of the Erdtree lore Promised Consort Radahn is in truth controlled puppet Radahn all so Miquella can have his desired prize aka … boytoy. Also George RR Martin did write for Elden Ring and that guy just loves writing about incest and sexual depravity.
