♥♥♥♥♥♥ stamina mechanic where the guy can only run 20 meters before being out of breath. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ durability mechanic where weapons break after five uses. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ timer mechanic where you only get like 15 minutes to play a level so no doing stealth or looting nuh-uh, just run like a moron if you want to win (this timer mechanic is not only barely explained but also broken, you're supposed to see how much time you have before the devs decide to practically insta-kill you on a watch that doesn't move so that's pointless. It's also seemingly almost impossible to survive after the time runs out, and no way to wait it out even when in a good spot so good sneaking is, again, not rewarded. Just run, that's what's fun in VR right?).

This is a compilation of poorly thought out micromanagement minigames meshed into one massively disappointing game under the guise of survival but without rewarding skill. Yeah I just feel frustrated playing this, what a pile of ♥♥♥♥.

Actually great game with fantastic writing and absolutely worth a few bucks and a few hours. Definitely got a retro vibe to it, and I don't mind old-ass graphics but some puzzles / sections felt outdated to me but still only got really stuck once. The game costs like one € per hour so ♥♥♥♥ it go play it idk.

Regardless of some janky aspects of the game (which I hear were improved in the redux version which I've not played), such as the voice acting of the main character and the animations, this game is great and easily recommended. A major flaw with the game is that it runs relatively bad on my modern PC (I5-2320, GTX960 & 12Gbs of RAM). I'm able to run it with high settings at around 60fps on some levels but there are frequent framerate drops, especially in large and effect-heavy areas.
The janky side doesn't hurt the game's tone and oh boy is it atmosphereric. There are multiple memorable moments and a constant sense of a menacing threat. I got this game for free from some giveaway a couple years back and I'd say it's definitely worth it's price it since it's cheap as hell and the redux version fixes most of the flaws.

Aside from the janky character animations and biblical references that feel a bit forced, this game is quite a gem. It may not have all that much replay value on the puzzles unless you give it a bit of a rest but it kept me playing for over 30 hours to get all the puzzles done (plus the DLC!). Also there are quite a few secrets within the game; looking for those and collectible stars gives the game an even longer running time. If you bother reading the texts and listening to the audio logs within the game you'll also get quite a bit of something to think about. Checking those out will shed some light on the endings and which to choose (kind of does not matter since you can just load up an old save and go check out the other ones)

One of the best puzzle games since Portal.
9/10

CS:GO Review
Good sh!t. Has fps drops for some reason and is really demanding on the CPU but generally works fine. Updates break the game sometimes and big updates are somewhat rare.

Also, never play competitive without friends and without a mic.

Not bad and such.

I expected it to be way worse, but it was pretty good.
At first the light-dark thingy felt kind of stupid, especially because you have to shine your light to your enemies to get their shields down to kill them, but I got used to that. The shooting felt kinda odd at times since your only crosshair is the flashlight, which lights up a pretty large area and therefore it is kinda unaccurate to aim with.
The ending was really weird, I didn't get it but other than that the story was really interesting and kept me excited because of the way it was told.

Graphics, aesthetics & art style = 9/10 The game looked suprisingly pretty and didn't have too much lens flare, mostly just light shafts (Which I'm a fan of).

Gameplay = 8/10 The gameplay wasn't interupted by cutscenes at bad points and the shooting was mmkay, if not generic.

Story = 9/10 As mentioned, it didn't interrupt too much and it gelled with the mechanics pretty nicely. The cutscenes were rendered in real time had neat effects to make them look pretty. The intermissions for the chapters had nice music and the intros for chapters had neat 'previously on Alan Wake'-cutscenes. Much of the story was told in-game through dialogue and cutscenes and the rest in collectible manuscript pages. Some parts of the story were left kinda unexplained, such as What the hell was the dark presence and how did that diving suit guy have superpowers? Was it the lake somehow? How does a lake give superpowers??? U wot m8?

Controls = 8/10 They were not bad aside from camera problems which caused aiming to be up the arse.

Overall = 8/10 Pretty good. Not great, but it was likeable.

TL;DR A pretty good game with interesting story and ok controls & gameplay. I would recommend on sale. (I got this 90% off, thx gaben).

So yeah. Warhead is pretty much the first one, but a bit improved with better maps (in my opinion), a few more guns and a story that fills some gaps of the first game. The story has some major plotholes and unexplained stuff, but it's still as okay as the first one's. Gameplay is slightly improved and this time the enemies can't see you as easily, which is an improvement in my opinion. Combat is the same and the ending is not quite as disappointing as the first one's cliffhanger.

7.5 /10

TL;DR: Definately and improvement in maps and arsenal, but doesn't have a great story. Combat is still the same and fun. I'd recommend it if it's on sale.

A fun shooty-game, with open maps and fun gameplay. Definately not bad, but it had flaws, like AI spotting you too easily while sneaking and the AI generally being "eh". Also, the story had flaws, but they were acceptable.
As mentioned before, the maps are often open and large, but sometimes get linear and narrow. The game has 'some' gun customisation, but those are lost when picking up new ones, or changing the chapter.
The best part to me was breaking buildings by throwing stuff at them (Hey, don't judge). Also, the graphics looked damn good and I loved sneaking to enemies, even though it had flaws.

7/10

TL;DR:
Pretty looking, fun to play and very open at times. Had flaws with AI and story, but was acceptable.

(Side note: I will not review Crysis 2 & 3 because I have Crysis 2 on a DVD and Crysis 3 is not on Steam. BTW thx for that, EA.)

Pretty damn good. I'll just ditto and list positives and negatives.

+Great story with good characters and different choises. The last mission was actually really thriling.
+Way better animations, slighty better graphics.
-The controls took some time to get used to.You cant crouch and instead of using E to use, space runs, uses and goes to cover. Q and E move your squadmates. A bit annoying but I got used to it after 5 hours.
- Less side missions, therefore shorter.

9/10
Really rememberable and replayable. I liked it.

(Side note: I very likely won't play ME3 because Origin and really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending with some weird cyber-kid and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Also, no matter the ending you pick, you die. Eff dat.)

(Side note 2: I want to play ME3 because of this game's ending. Reasons above should make me not want to. But still.)
