The game itself runs just fine on a modern PC, but I can't open the spellbook and thus can't start a level. This issue makes it unplayable :(
I tried hooking up an xbox controller, button for a spellbook doesn't work there either. Tried running the game in compatibility modes, in window mode, tried swapping keybindings with map (it opens just fine regardless of a key).
The issue isn't new and it doesn't seem to have a working solution in Steam or Reddit.
