An overpowered imitation of the JC3 mech, feels worse to drive, no sense of weight in the machine with it feeling like it just slides around everywhere. Can fly for whatever reason with its boost mechanic and has weird tracking mechanics for its grip.
Its punches just kills everything in one shot, no launching enemies into others with a nice double explosion anymore, way too op to be fun. Not even a fully upgraded JC3 mech was this ridiculous.
And worst of all, no eDEN ai saying funny things, like preemptively scheduling a full service overhaul whenever Rico gets in one, just some evil sounding ai saying "Rico" when you start up the mech.

I'm not one for long worded reviews, so I'll just say the simplification of the mech piloting genre is not good for og fans.

I feel as if the patch has done more harm than the DLC itself, making the game really buggy, changing damage feedback to the point of it may as well not be there anymore, breaking certain songs and a lot of the fluff that made RoR2 so enjoyable seemed to have been taken away from the game just so they could release this DLC for consoles day one.
A lot of the new items either don't really work well (or at all) or are mod levels of completely busted.
New quality of life things are fine I guess, new survivors seem off, like they need some more time, False sun's melee is especially bad.
I like the new maps? They look nice, maybe just a bit on the large side for the magma one.
Sorry Gearbox this just aint it

Early Access Review
Nothing better than kissing the ground in the Darkreach for 10 minutes to then suddenly appear next to the enemy base and drop 16 thermonuclear bombs on them

An alright DLC, it's definitely below the line the others had set, its obvious most of the dev team has moved on to Clans.
The first two mission were fun, but after that god forbid you have friends though, because they won't be able to play co-op on a good couple of missions.
Duncan is still funny, so it's good to see him back in action again, all around good lines from most of the characters, but Duncan is the obvious standout.
The hardcore trails and solaris just sends huge waves of mechs that prefer to shoot you then each other, more akin to mechassaults grinder mode than a Solaris match, especially with this wave based round system. It just encourages you to hide in a corner and wait for the enemies to all kill each other before finishing off the survivors unlike MW4 mercs Solaris game mode, its a shame really.
All the new weapons are good additions though, but all were already added in from mods.
I hate to give it a negative review but I only really recommend it if you have every other DLC.

AI up scaled everything, absolute slop with no effort whatsoever to remaster anything.

Lost Doom 3
I played this game on hard. Bad combat, a cover shooter with tanky akrid that just suck to fight. Heaps of 'survive' parts where you just shoot 30 Wardeyes for 5 minutes as they continue to spawn out of a hole. You don't fight humans until the last hour, even then its about 10 minutes worth of combat that really amplifies it's want to be a cover shooter. T-ENG is no longer a life meter but a currency.
Every boss is just stand there and press A or RB when an enemy attacks you and then shoot/drill them in the weakspot. No cool mounting them from 2, just i-frames with generous timing.
Story takes a strange turn that makes no real sense at the end with the T-ENG macguffin, characters are just tolerable cliches to cringe at best, I really wanted to like the tech, but he's so annoying with some of his lines, he will never be foster.
LP2 made me like their vast characters and groups within 2 minutes of each of their introductions, designs for everything looks nothing like the original two (and are all bad redesigns) besides returning akrid along with some of the new. The VS makes no mention until just before the last boss (which is just a generic sci-fi looking rig), and finally the rig itself is the thing you'll likely be spending a lot of time in, with it being mostly melee with the claw motor being its only ranged is annoying to work with when you have to fight enemies that cannot be parried.
The environments look nice I guess.
This is very much a game that's a product of it's time and not worth the full price.
