A better, more advanced version of Rogue Legacy. If you liked the original then you'll like this. There isn't anything huge or game-changing here, but the developers made sure to not stray too far from what made the original game fun.

The lost potential of this "remaster" is incredibly disappointing, and unless you care about having a healthy coop or PVP community it's not worth the current price, discount or not. There are a number of quality of life improvements they could have incorporated into this version of Dark Souls from 2 or 3, but instead we only got the bare minimum. The technical fixes are things that ostensibly could have been done with DSFix already, and to be honest they should have been patched into the game for free years ago as is customary on PC.

As someone who has played the game on/of since launch:

- The netcode is still probably the best for any modern fighter
- The roster, despite a few derivatives, all feel different and unique
- The combo system is fluid, fun, and easy to learn, especially for new players
- Tons of single-player content if you don't want to hop online
- The developers have put in a lot of work and at this point you're buying a very complete product
- Godlike soundtrack

Interesting idea but awful, awful user experience. Unskippable tutorial video, clunky UI that loads really slow, and a content selection format that doesn't really make sense. I've never been more frustrated trying to just play a game in recent years.

With over 30 hours of play time, I would say that I definitely enjoyed most of this game. It's a solid throwback to old first-person dungeon crawlers with some modern touches. Just turn the game off after Act III...

Having played it on/off on both the consoles and on PC for a few years, I would say it is my favorite MMO. It has plenty of quirks and weird issues that some people won't be able to get over, but overall if you spend time learning the combat system and play through to 30 I think most people will enjoy DCUO. As a free to play game, it's using one of the better models in my experience, but I do agree with other people that say you will want to sub if you are trying to do higher-tier raids versus just buying the DLC outright, but you don't have to depending on how seriously you're playing. That said, you got a ton of content for free and the DLC goes on sale often so if you're just playing by yourself or you just enjoy leveling characters then it's a pretty great game to check out.

Marlow Briggs is unironically better than most other character action games on Steam, and it needs a sequel ASAP.

A cheap and strange, yet enjoyable action game with decent combat mechanics.
