Fun game : )

Y'shtola best girl.

I have fallen into the FFXIV rabbit hole, but it's a very nice rabbit hole to be in.

If you play mostly for the main story, I am sorry to say that Dawntrail will disappoint you. Great ideas, horrible execution. It has its moments, but Dawntrail is honestly disappointing story wise. It is the start of a new story arc so I was never expecting it to be as exciting as Shadowbringers or Endwalker, but even with that in mind, Dawntrail's main story lands extremely short of the quality one would expect. Hopefully the team learns from the mistakes made here for the patch quests and the next expansion.

Gameplay wise, it's still FFXIV, so pretty good if this is your cup of tea.

Graphics wise, the graphics improvement was nice but the game still looks a decade old despite the updates from Dawntrail. The first four zones for Dawntrail lack that Final Fantasy feel as they far too heavily lean into their real world inspirations. However, the last two zones and the two city hubs look AMAZING. You are certainly in for a visual treat once you arrive there.

The music for Dawntrail is hit or miss. Some are good, some are outright horrible, especially the final song that plays in the last cutscene that goes into credits.

One of the BEST PvE games out there. Best game of 2024 so far without a doubt! No invasive micro or macrotransactions, at $40 this game is cheaper than any modern triple A game out there. Whilst there are some bugs and glitches, I haven't personally ran into anything game breaking. The developers of Helldivers 2 prioritize players with a consumer friendly approach. They are very deserving of our money, and this game is arguably worth more than $40 with just how good it is.

BIG EDIT: Arrowhead are great developers. Sony, however, is a god awful company. Steam users will soon have to link their accounts to Playstation Network accounts, which will prevent players from certain countries from even playing the game because Playstation Network is unavailable in some countries. Not to mention the amount of security breaches Playstation Network has had. Until this decision is REVERSED ENTIRELY, I will be leaving a negative review.

BIG EDIT 2: PLAYSTATION HAS ANNOUNCED A FULL REVERSAL ON THE DECISION. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME. HELLDIVERS, BACK TO YOUR STATIONS, WE HAVE A WAR TO WIN!

God Awful Campaign for MW3, enough with these awful business practices. They're just here for our money at this point. Don't give them a penny.

This game really fell off. The Campaign was safe overall but the characters were very likable and charismatic, but the mulitplayer has really gone down hill. I can not recommend this game in its current state.

Devs are way too out of touch with this community.

Why do we need Anti-Cheat software for a bloody social game? It isn't going to stop the crashers, avatar rippers, and all those scum bags. The people who create that scummy software know how to circumvent Easy Anti-Cheat.

It's a great Star Wars game, simple as that. Good story (not KOTOR level but enjoyable), great combat mechanics, and satisfying parkour mechanics. I like the lightsaber customization and how it's purely cosmetic, no differing stats, nothing but cosmetic. This game has been a blast to play so far, and I would definitely recommend playing with a controller over mouse and keyboard, the controls with a controller feel great and fluid, nothing confusing.

Before I give my final verdict, I am going to give the Pros and Cons.

Pros:
-Visual effects. Star Trek online is gorgeous to those who play it.
-Space Combat. The space combat is very fun.

Now to the Cons.
-Ground missions. Very repetitive and last longer than needed.
-Ground Combat. Not very interesting, and PvP there is a bunch of rolling.
-No exploration. You can't really explore because of the missions.

I would give this game a rating of 7/10, being an OK game. If you are looking for a game that has the Pros of Star Trek, and the cons are fixed, I would recommend playing Star Wars The Old Republic.
