Man, the mass down-voting here is so petty. Last Epoch is actually a really refreshing, engaging game with a lot to offer, even in Offline mode. All of the time I've clocked so far has been offline (72 hrs. at writing), and plan to clock another 72 or whatever. Give it a shot if you're a fan of ARPGs that're done right, you won't regret it. 35 bucks for this title is an absolute steal.

I usually don't leave a review, so I'll make this quick.

People who say this game is terrible because of the REBOOTED design of our favorite, classic characters are 100% full of ♥♥♥♥. I've never bothered to play a game to 100% completion (achievements and all, besides the Vergil's Downfall dlc, but I'll have and do that soon), except for this. And it's a hack and slash, no less. Why? Because the combat is beautifully done, the environment is so artistically and masterfully designed. The game is so fluid and you feel that fluidity in every second of the game. I'm not going to ♥♥♥♥ ride this all the way, however, as the game has some flaws that you'll notice later on if you decide to play through again on Son of Sparda, or the notoriously difficult Dante Must Die! mode, in which enemies will hit you and break your combo meter when they're nowhere near you, or because of the bright and vibrant designs of each area, it is sometimes hard to tell where another enemy is and you'll eventually forget they're there just to shove a blade in your ass. And on higher difficulties, that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying beyond anything. Not even that, but enemies can get stuck in inaccessible areas (rarely) and that will force you to restart the check point. Had that happen twice on DMD, which feels like pulling teeth enough as it is, but on some really hard enemy waves it'll make you want to tear your own skin off.

That's the gist of it as it sucks to waste time on reviews, but I'd absolutely never recommend passing this title up regardless of what your opinion on the character or story designs are. You'll be missing out a remarkable game.

8/10 or whatever. ♥♥♥♥♥ great, except for when the combat ♥♥♥♥♥ you severely.

Tip to anyone doing DMD currently: enemies won't engage you if you're far enough away and your camera Isn't facing them. Once you look at them, they'll pursue you. This is particularly useful when you're up against Witches and Tyrants.

I've never been super into games like these, but decided to give it a shot anyways after seeing so many videos on it and all the insanely positive reviews. Everyone is correct. I've only done the first chapter, and already am willing to throw down my wallet to get the remaining chapters and binge. This is a truly incredible and unique experience, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone who is interested.
