It didn't even take me 20 minutes, but this game left its mark on me. The story was amazing, if not a bit predictable. The final choice you have to make is a very tough one.

Well, let me start this review off by saying I am a huge fan of H.P. Lovecraft, and this review will be somewhat biased because of that. Sorry.

Eldritch is a FPS Rouge like game. The term "rogue-like" is used quite liberally, so I consider this game to be more of a rouge-like-like, or my personal favorite, a rouge-lite. The game's aesthetics are quite simple but also very pleasing. A Minecraft-esque visual design is easy to look at, but the pixelated art is somewhat overdone. But, you shouldn't base a game off of it's graphics. The meat of this game is what matters. Lore is hidden around any corner. The dungeons that our hero, you, explores are honestly small, but many levels must be completed. Because each level is random, the player is forced to figure a way out of a situation. It's very fun and simple to get into. Many levels can be explored, although most are the same level-setup with different textures or enemies. Still, this helps the game from seeming repetitive. After only 11 hours, I started to get a little bored. This can be solved with a healthy dosage of Cthulhu reading, but I was a little disappointed that the game gets tiring. The atmosphere is where the game shines the most. It's eerie, creepy and fun. Each corner holds danger or reward.

All in all, I personally love this game. For a fan of Lovecraft, I recommend this. It's a 8.5/10 for us.
For a fan of rouge-likes and procedurally generated game, this game would be a 8/10.
If you don't fit that category, stay away. If you fill either, I think this game is a good pickup.

Civilization V, or Civ 5 for short, is a 4X strategy game published by 2K Games. The idea of Civ 5 is to simply beat the game. This can be done in all sorts of ways, such as being a being defensive and relying on science, making your amount of culture overpower everyone else's, be a weak beta noob and use diplomacy, or leave your mark on the world like a mothafuzzin legend! Conquer everything!
The gameplay is very fluid and the newest dlc makes the game so much better. The amount of strategy required depends on the level of difficulty the game is set on, so you can get on for a couple of hours on a tiny map on level 1 difficulty to learn, then progress to higher difficulties on a much larger map. The game is a must have for any strategy fan. While it lacks the complexity of CKII and EU 4, the gam is an alround blast and my favorite game at the moment.

Total score: 9.4/10

The Binding of Isaac is sick, twisted, and disturbingly good. A true rouge-lite. Everything about this game screams difficulty, from the random rooms to the challenging boss battles. Luck has a part to play in TBoI, as items gained alter the course of the game. The game is addictive, and never repetitive becuase of the amount of random content. No crawl is the same. And, being a small child, this game is a great dungeon "crawl." Sorry. The chance was there.

Pros: Great, welcome challenge
Random and exciting
Tons of fun
Cons: Hard to explain what you are playing to anyone without them cringing

9.6/10

Good for what it is. Sanctum 2 is a great hybrid between an FPS and a TD game. The mashup is nearly flawless. I really do enjoy every time I play the gme. The reason I say it is good for what it is is because its early brother seemed better. If this game is on sale, purchase it. If it isnt on sale, look into it to see if it is for you.
