A very entertaining game that gets the progression times right, making you work for the new areas and achievements. A fairly in-depth weapon system makes combat rewarding, if a bit too much so for parrying and round shields. The building mechanic is one of my personal favorites, good amounts of snap placement but not restricted to just that, and a support system for structures. Very mod friendly due mostly to the fact that it runs off unity, this adds a lot of replay potential to the game. However the game is still unfinished and it shows. The game is sadly, very poorly optimized. Creating a server will amplify this problem by a large amount, even more so if you decide to make large scale builds. The game is also not controller friendly in its current state. All in all this game is very fun, and will give you hours of good times, just maybe wait on making a server with your friends.

So to break things down easily, yes the game is fun. If you idolize or idolized the developers, watched the game through it's development hell, or just don't have tolerance for bugs, maybe give it a pass.
As a person who has very commonly played several games that weren't very extensively tested or had rocky starts, I tend to be pretty ok with glitches so long as they are just inconvenient. This game is just that, a bit messy, a bit buggy, a bit frustrating, and a bit hilarious as most of the major game flow bugs have been ironed out . And I enjoyed it immensely as I completed near everything it had to offer.

IF you are not the kind of person who wants these in a game I understand. Especially if you are one of the people who sat by as it was being worked on for almost a decade. However if you can overlook the flaws the game is beautiful, fun and fairly extensive, just don't expect perfection.

Oh except beat on the brat and its final fight, like I get it's supposed to be hard but why does he hit so hard even thru block just let me parry him into the ground cmon CDPR.
