Before we begin this journey into space and time. I had heard that light from distant galaxies was shifted towards the red end of the spectrum and this was supposed to indicate that the universe was expanding. But I'm sure there must be some other reason for the redshift. Maybe light got tired on it's way to us. Essentially unchanging the ever lasting universe seems so much more natural.
